This is EXACTLY what is missing from other CCW channels. Everybody focuses on the weapon. Great job showing us HOW to carry and options for holsters. I enjoyed that allot. Do lots dry fire practice, getting to be outdoor range weather - YEAH!! Do you recommend nearly ALL live practice be conducted "the way you carry daily" for muscle memory? Have a DAO compact- long heavy trigger pull, NO safety. ANY comments/recomm: leather shoulder rig with 'convertible pockets' for DIFFERENT size pistols/revolvers??

It still surprises me; how many people that don't know or either constantly forget to make sure they have a holster that completely protects the trigger (front and back) with a hard surface. Great video for showing us all the different kinds of holsters out there to look at and and pick from. I've looked at a lot of holsters lately, and still this video showed me a couple of types I hadn't run across, and gave me some great pros and cons on each that I hadn't thought of. I like that he actually puts these holsters and puts guns in them so we can see exactly where they go and how they function in different positions on the body. Great job !

Thank you for this! I had no idea how clueless I was about carrying until I actually started carrying. Couldn't find a comfortable holster, was too self aware of it jutting out - the whole nine. I'm under 6 ft. and slim and of course my first firearm was a glock 19. Basically too big for a slim guy to carry inconspicuously. That led me to this vid and led me to going to the shop and talking to the experts and trying different things, and learning a lot of things I didn't know. Nothing wrong with asking questions! Thanks again!

I like how you press the point of making somebody comfortable and how just because something is your particular preference doesn't mean it's the best way. Others try to push their own philosophy for how they carry so much and completely bias themselves against anything else

I don’t disagree with anything on the video, I shared it after seeing it and the highly beneficial level of info provided was a perfect sum up that I could point new ccw and everyday carry lifestyle and you hit the big examples but a lot of newcomers haven’t learned what is best fit for themselves yet. This can be a quality resource they can return to as they learn what meets their needs over time. I agree with the comment of abdominal carry not being appendix holsters being an all around poor option for me, but I think the reason it’s so common is the same as why he likes hip placed holsters without cant so the barrel is on target faster, the appendix carry provides that rapid on target speed without as much practice drawing. Again not my style either but that’s the only distinct benefit provided by them that I can see, but I have no clue if my guess is valid or not. Probably should get more info on them myself and find out so I have a better idea if asked. All around great content and appreciate the resource it provides!

I bought one of the Urban Carry holsters that he talks about at the end of the video. I am 6'1" 230 pounds and wear a 38 pant. I can sit down and still pull the gun out. Tried it several times it still works. The only time it does not work is when you pull the belt too tight or wear too tight pants. It will still work with the pant too tight but it is harder. I don't use the Urban Carry all the time but it is handy. It all depends on what you prefer or were taught. Police and Military would prefer the 4 o'clock because that is what they use and are taught. Good video.

💕Thank you SO much for this video! I am a single mom who recently bought my first handgun. My question to you is what type of holster can a woman carry who DOESN'T wear a belt, ever? Are there purses made with holsters attached or put somewhere for easy access to "me" and not everyone else? I took the LTC class and test and got a 247/250 at the shooting range and a 100% on my written test!😊 I have a S&W 9mm M&P Shield. Thank you so much!☺️

Robyn Smith never keep your gun in or on your purse, that's the first thing to be taken by a thief out in public, then he/she has your purse and your gun. keep safe

Jacob Bieganowski : Thank you for your advice!😊 Do you have any recommendations for a thin woman who NEVER wears a belt? I wear fitted clothes (not too tight...😉) and can't imagine a place to carry my gun on my body. I definitely want to carry it on a daily basis though. I would be appreciative of any advice! Have a great night!☺️🌙✨

Awesome channel I love the way you keep saying "This is my preference/what I like" there are way too many gun videos that talk down to people that don't do it there way. The only two things that really matter are First One carries safely And secondly One carries as often/everywhere they legally can. Everything else is what works for you. Thanks again for the great channel!

Great video, very informative. One thing I will disagree with though, even it the holster is all nylon, etc, you will never be able to "bend" it enough for a seatbelt buckle, table corner, a pen, or a child to press through the "fabric" and pull the trigger. It is softer than hard plastic (which isn't as smooth when sliding the gun in and out of for sure won't argue there) but not THAT soft to the point where the trigger can be pulled. It's still pretty darn thick and stiff despite not being a "hard" material. If your preference is to carry a full plastic holster that's totally understandable, but don't for a second even pretend that a nylon holster is flexible enough to allow an accidental trigger pull/discharge. If anything it's just more form fitting to your body. If you had no trigger guard you might be able to depress it enough, but in that roughly 1" space between the frame/guard you're not gonna be able to hook a table corner into it hard enough to pull the trigger, even if you fell on it with all your weight.

Kore really makes a great belt. I've never had a ratchet belt before, but thought the concept to be great. I then did some research on the various brands and found the Kore brand to be consistently rated as the highest quality in brand-to-brand comparisons. I believe those test comparisons to be true. These belts just "scream" quality. I have to say very impressed and am enjoying them immensely.

In my state, Florida.....the gun is not allowed to print or to be visible in any way. Even though the statute allows for momentary exposure of the concealed gun, people have been arrested and imprisoned for it.

Real pleased with the company, the holster is just ok for me but it's not their fault. I have a Ruger SR9c Talo Edition which means the slide is slightly different than a standard SR9c. When I ordered the holster I wasn't thinking about that difference so when I got it the retention wasn't the greatest. To Raw Dog's credit they sent me a new holster free of charge and let me keep the old one too even though this really wasn't their fault. I'm using the Raw Dog for the time being because when I have it on, IWB, and my belt snugged up that pistol isn't going anywhere. I'll probably look for another holster some time later on. Again, I want to stress that this was not Raw Dog's fault, they sent me a holster for an SR9c, not the Talo Edition, but they still backed up the holster as if it was their fault, so kudos to them.

I got a body that changes ... More than I like to. I'd say I'm on my 3rd fatting cycle. Getting more active, so I'm losing weight again. 2nd problem is I have a machete ass. Long torso, short ass legs. Having hard time getting my iwb type holsters to be even slightly comfortable and my gut and muffin top get in the way of the draw. Almost ripped my gut open with the rear sights a few times. Any suggestions? Got a inside the pocket deal I been using but not a fan. I carry a G30s.

WhiteDean45 I doubt he's against it. It's just the guns that are suitable for it are very limited. If you feel comfortable carrying in any fashion/position, as long as it's safe, it's good in my opinion. If all you can carry is a 380 in your pocket, it's much better than leaving the 45 at home that you couldn't conceal that day.

Lot of bad cities. I was born in Cincinnati, but almost every major city has a bad crime problem in Ohio. I have to wait until I'm 24 before I can purchase a firearm because of juvenile felon laws here in Florida, but if I move back home there are places that I would never walk unless I had a concealed firearm.
