No Christmas sentiments, miracles, meaning, to the characters or otherwise, it has plenty of opportunity to BE one and chooses NOT to be. Its NOT ABOUT CHRISTMAS and what it means to the characters. No dialogue to that effect. If Jaws took place at Christmas would it be a Christmas movie? Many of the horror movies with a Christmas gimmick aren't either, but a few are because they bring in the legend as a supernatural element, and the characters interacting with that, having feelings and dialogue to that effect. Is it or isn't it is not the way to decide. Decide upon criteria in good faith and analyze/judge its ability to rate according to that criteria.

I agree with Jeremy. Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie. That opinion developed over time. I saw it in theaters when it was first released. It was a summer release, in mid July. Back then everyone talked about what a great movie it was, but people didn’t talk about its Christmas content. They talked about the action sequences, characters, and story. Look at its official poster. There’s nothing about Christmas on it. Great movie, but not a Christmas movie.

Nah, a better example is the people who pretend that pineapple on pizza is the most disgusting food ever conceived of and act like it's more repulsive than eating bugs covered in fecal matter topped with semen sauce. It's become a tired meme that took on a life of its own. I'm guessing somewhere along the way people began using the words 'pineapple' and 'pizza' as a euphemism for... pdf files. Which would explain why they act like enjoying pineapple as a topping is a crime against humanity, but of course they'll never say that because then the "joke" is ruined, so they bewilderingly just continue to pretend that they actually hold the absurdly hyperbolic belief that - pineapple, even so much as touching tomato sauce, sends them into nauseated convulsions of pre-puke sickness... ...which is stupid and always makes me think that's someone who spends way too much time on the internet.
