For the record: The R rated version was NOT a rough cut. I saw it on opening night and it was way funnier than the PG “kids” reduction that replaced it. Tone is everything in comedy and the salty bits just made all the characters foibles hilariously more relatable. If you think I’m wrong, just imagine Deadpool without the raunch…EXACTLY!

You can all thank me for this 4k release, as it took me shelling out a premium for the 20th anniversary steelbook a couple months ago for the announcement of the 4k to come right after. That all said, I understand the 4k steelbook is of the original poster art, but I prefer the 20th anniversary bluray steelbook / 4k slipcover. But like you, I pre-ordered the 4k steelbook and will keep both versions.

Do these come with the Thermian audio track? I remember the old DVD had that and it was hilarious.

Wrong. Amazon has a version of the steelbook with a region-free Blu-ray. Could be UK based, not sure. Also, this is unfortunately a 2K upscale.
