So, related to the question from the commentary for the first one, and the question of how Tony makes the suits so fast ... he has an automated production facility under his basement. That equipment was modified into the armor assembly array. But it also makes the suits (JARVIS tells Tony the Mark III will take 5 hours, so Tony goes to the party). So when JARVIS says the element can't be synthesized, he means with the equipment he already can control. That's why Tony builds the accelerator.

I haven't really enjoyed this film until after Captain America and Avengers. (However, thanks to the commentary I've watched it twice) I think the real problem is I feel as though the character development doesn't really mean anything or remain as memorable as the first Iron Man

I find it funny the Bane speaking Spanish in Young Justice he was voiced by Danny Trejo who does speak it!

I think the villain would obviously say anything to make the hero be in fear. Saying I know you are going to die would put fear in someone that didn't even tell the woman he loves that he's dying. Telling him he's already won and that everyone that you're protecting will eat you alive would definitely put fear in you and hell you could even claim that added to his nervous breakdown in Iron Man 3.

I believe Ivan, knowing that Stark's best reason to not hand over his tech is because he believes no one can replicate it, decides to show him and the world that others can, which would cause Stark some major problems. Ivan knowing Stark was in one of the race cars could simply be he saw Stark announce that he was gonna drive.

I love Iron Man, I think Iron Man 2 is OK but you guys were completely right about some of the villain plans and motivations. The film tries to make things A) too easy or B) no where near detailed enough to draw a conclusion. Iron Man 3 on the other hand I absolutely loved. I think everything wrong with the first 2 films was answered or fixed with the third and I think 3 is, in a way, Iron Man 2 remade and done correctly

to be honest i was super excited for iron man 3 and i am for all the new movies like thor and cap. i figured they would have given an after credit scene to link tony into avengers 2, like a reason for him to come back to the team.

Some things are perfectly explained without the need to keep restating it. I get it-- Tony's dying. But that being force-fed to us doesn't tell me things that aren't explained at all, like why *Ivan* knows Tony's dying. It's a matter of emphasizing the things the movie thinks an audience will find really dramatic and gripping and sweeping things it doesn't feel like telling us under the rug. -CL

Yeah I was kind of disapointed that they didn't give any hint or connection to Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming up. Funny story in our screening. Were from pensacola so when he mentioned pensacola and the oil spill everybody cheered in the theater lol. Even though the spill didn't happen anywhere near here.

I always thought the reason he went crazy at the party becuase earlier he asked natasha what she would do if she knew that was her last birthday party, and she says "do whatever i want with whoever i wanted to do it with." To me that seems to give him motivation to go crazy at the party without any thought of what could happen, because to him at the moment, all of this will be gone soon so he wants to be happy before he dies.

Black Widow wasn't just there at the end she cut off Whiplash's control of War Machine and made it where Tony wouldn't have to kill or be killed by his best friend.

personally i thought she was more then just ok in captain america 2.i really liked her in captain america2.i always thought she did a good job.but in captain america2 i thought she was great.she seems to get better in each movie.and in avengers2 they will explore more of her backstory.so i think she will feel even more like comic book black widow in avengers2.

Here's the question I keep asking myself anytime I rewatch this movie: If Tony has the tech and knowledge necessary to synthesize Vibranium, why doesn't he make an entire suit of armor out of the stuff?

mk ii - no weapons, only flight mk iii - standard mk iv - replaced after mk iii was damaged (instead of repairing tony made a new one + upgraded specs and aesthetics are different, look closely at armor.) mk v - portable, bare minimum weapons and flight capabilities mk vi - upgraded version made compatible with his new arc reactor mk vii - same as vi but with more repulsors and better weapons. i don't know how you guys missed this, i thought it was made obvious, they are certainly different.

Was I the only one that thinks that the element tony made was based on the cube's power? Based on how his father explained how hydra was far more advanced and then he couldn't get the ammo clip from the energy weapon he was tinkering on apart without it exploding? I dunno, I could just be reading too far into things or be completely wrong.

How do you feel about the possibility that with Sony and Disney/Marvel/Paramount agreement about Spiderman, that they might bring up Peter's parents connection to S.H.I.E.L.D by setting it up and being the reason Spiderman joins The Avengers in hopes of finding them.

So...how old is Tony Stark's dad when he has him? Because in World War II he looks like he's 25-30...and now and days Tony Stark himself looks like he's in his mid 40's. So...his father would have to have been really old when he had Stark...right?

i get the reasoning for it, but the whole point to every marvel after credit scene is to link it to a new movie or hint at something coming. I understand why it was funny and why it was there but it wasn't needed. banner wasn't in the entire movie, why both adding him in at the end

I always liked Vanko as a villain. I found him entertaining to watch and the acting was actually quite good. However untill i saw the rewind of this and this commentary i never saw the parales of Tony and Ivan so clearly. Great commentary guys! Oh and Eric, I dont own this film.

Now, I don't think this is a strong film, but concerning the villian, perhaps it becomes him using and corrupting Tony's Tech to carry out a large public attack. He views Iron Man and War Machine as Tony's legacy, and by using it to attack innocent people he's doing the very thing Tony has been trying to prevent, turning Iron Man into a weapon.And maybe by killing Tony, who he apparently knows isn't dying, is Venko trying to prevent Tony from fixing the damaged reputation. Maybe... Perhaps.

And your also dead wrong about the end scene being connected to the avengers. Tony was struggling with what happened in new york in the avengers movie and almost dying in the worm hole. Sure it was a funny scene and Banner isn't a therapist but it was still related.

I think it was Indestructable Hulk where I saw Colson either that or Uncanny Avengers. I actually like this film and can't wait to see Iron Man 3 saturday... I've had to wait for my friend to have a day off work to go lol to be fair with the kid just standing there at least he's not as annoying as the one in Spider-man 1, when a big stag starts to fall and your mum's screaming her head you move!

i wanted to like the movie, i was excited for months to see it. went in opening night excited and as soon as it finished every one of the 5 people i was with looked at each other and said how bad it was., the theater I was at, there were people booing at the end. and walking out all you could hear was how bad it was. because it was.

as a batman fan I want to ask you something.is it out of character for batman to murder.for me I think its ok for him to kill as long as he has no other option at all.and he feels bad about it later.but if he puts a bomb on a guy throws him off a ledge smiling about it.to me is out of character.what do u think?

I think my point was that if you can explain it to yourself with only one sentence then it's not really worth bringing up as a problem. Maybe it makes sense to you to complain about 20 sentences about Tony dying but not one about the points you want covered and that fine for you but I can suspend my disbelief enough to think that they had a reasoning behind each of the events that took place.

in turms of quality I would say its just as good as the other 2.the other two have there share of problems too.imo the previouse 2 had just as many problems.i would give all 3 a 9.5/10.but tdkr is my favorite.it was the first time I actually routed for batman especially when he climbs the pit.that is the best part of the whole movie and I love the entire movie.i think the stakes are higher.i love this kinda story where a hero falls and has too rise

Also yeah I agree with Eric. Justin Hammer is hilarious. Sam Rockwell is a great actor. You've probably already seen Moon but as a comedic actor, Seven Psychopaths is a great dark comedy. You probably wouldn't like it CL.

I honestly love batman forever for what it is.yes it has problems but I really enjoy it.and imo its the best of the original 4.cause it has more character development and I think it was the first time they got batman right.i mean yea he has some dum lines but I really liked val kilmers batman.i wish he was in batman and robin.BMF is very underrated movie.

Oh yeah I forgot the action was fantastic too. 1."mandarin was a waste of time." yes that was the point of the story. Killian was the villain. 2."none of his suits were durable like in the first two movies." Yes they had iron melting powers. 3."pepper ended up being the hero" One hit, the final blow to a 20 minute Iron Man fight scene does not make someone the hero of the story. Iron Man makes the armors, unravels the mystery of the Mandarin, etc. Leave me alone please.

and many of my favorite comic books are blended and put into this movie.knightfall.no mans land.tdk returns.legacy.vengeance of bane.year one.and and there are more but those are the ones stuck out. movie bane is my favorite batman villain and in turms of characterization they nailed bane and imo the costum is an improvement.the suite was the only thing I hated about bane in the.catwoman finally done the way she is in the comics.the first time she has ever been done right in movies imo comics.

I think these commentaries would work better if you had a person who was more knowledgeable or less knowledgeable, so you're able to get perspective on whether all the extra knowledge from the comics is important, or the movie works regardless from a lay-person's perspective. For example the Crimson bloke and Venko talk at the start, was a nice nod if you know the comics, but it worked because it mirrors the technological rivalry between the Soviets and the States.

mandarin is a main character. killian is cool but not as cool as mandarin could have been. the whole point to iron man is that he out smarts people and creates new tech. he doesn't do that in iron man 3. he builds a bunch of suits that all get destroyed in one hit and tony blows up the left over ones. he could have called them during the entire movie but for some reason waited till the end. pepper is the hero because she finished what tony cant. you comment on my post so you leave it alone

Since I really liked Iron man 1, I had high hopes for the sequel but I did not care much for it. I did not get the villains at all and the humor didn't appeal to me much. I did not understand how Tony was dying either. If the reactor is pulling on the shrapnel in his heart but exposing him to radiation...why not place an electromagnet next to his heart and move the reactor into a shielded backpack or something?

That's fair Batman Forever has problems not the problems that Burton fanboys have those are taste issues for them but BMF has real problems but I still enjoy and its possibly the best of the four films and its the only one kids and possibly adults can enjoy.

I agree the humor and slapstick was a bit unnessecary at some points and the twist with the mandred took me out of the story. I didn't really care after that I was just like what? And also it was too political to me as well which was another draw back. Don't know if you agree with me about the political thing.

yes 3 ruined war machine, it made all tony's suits break so easily when they were basically indestructible in the first two. tony lets pepper die. and pepper is the actual hero of the movie. and the after credit scene had nothing to do with iron man 3 or with avengers two or any lead to any new movie it was just in there to add another character. it was just bad

Iron Man 3 was definitely a superior film, but I personally prefer Iron Man 2 simply because the twists and humor in 3 pissed me off. There were just too many moments that took me out off the film.
