The highlight and shadow control were on the old GH5 but it was not located in this menu. This new location is more logical. It would also be logical to have master pedestal here as well. Thanks Shane for doing this. I was surprised how different the menus are from the GH5. I have two regular GH5's. The Digital Teleconverter is a little tough to locate because the name was changed to Image Area of Video. It looks like the digital zoom is gone (Off, 2X, 4X). I liked this because I often set up my cameras at the back of the theatre and to fill the frame with my white reflector this was pretty handy. If you know where this has gone please let me know.

This was such a great tutorial! Thanks so much. I am very close to buying this camera (after I have a look at the GH6 in a week or so), but I still have a question that’s specific to live streaming: Can you create a custom color profile and resolution (I’d like to have the option to choose 1080 24, 30 or 60) for the HDMI out WHILE recording INTERNALLY with that same color profile in 4K? Well, as long as I’m asking, could I also record 4K vlog internally while outputting with a custom color profile in 1080p 24, 30, or 60 through the HDMI? I just want to be able to deliver a 4K version of the live stream to my clients in addition to the program 1080p output.

Hi, thanks for the interesting video. I need to ask a question please: is it true GH5 MKII works better with continous AF with 4K 50p than 4K 25p? Thank you.
@GeekyNerdyTechy2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 50/60 modes work really well. It's also dependent on the lens from my testing. Some lenses with new firmware work pretty well in 24/25p thanks to some updates. 30/50/60 work better due to the sensor readout speed.

One thing I noticed was that touch to focus on the screen when in Manual focus doesn't work anymore on this camera. It only allows you to push the back button (focus) to lock it onto the subject. If the camera is in manual focus it should allow you to use the AF/AE lock button to get focus. There are some changes to the manual focus on this camera. I hope this is what you are after.
