The proximity issue is mainly due to the fact that this relies on something known as a Virtual Proximity Sensor that Xiaomi and other redmi phones implement nowadays. As the name suggests, it isn't a proper physical proximity sensor like we find in most smartphones. It uses the accelerometer sensor and mimics the proximity sensor's duty by calculating the phone's movement while in calls. This might be mainly due to the very small bezel present up top which has only a light sensor. I checked with my Poco X2 and even the new Redmi note 10 pro, both rely on that and so most of the users are facing such issues. I think Xiaomi needs more testing on that new thing before implementing such sorts. I hope the upcoming smartphones are well tested and calibrated.

The peak brightness of 1300 nits is for a section of the screen during HDR playback. All manufactures currently label peak brightness in this condition. Otherwise with auto brightness under direct sunlight its over 700 nits and over 500 nits with the slider, as reported by multiple other outlets.

@@istiakahmad4727 sorry if I'm late; the screen switches on and off when the device is kept close to one's ear during phone calls. This is presumably due to the poorly-calibrated proximity sensor, or maybe the Mi 11X is equipped with a 'virtual proximity sensor'. A virtual proximity sensor is essentially the gyroscope and accelerometer trying to sense the phone being brought close to the ear to switch the screen off, and it is usually inconsistent.

Regarding the Apps getting killed in the background, yes this is the default behaviour in MiUI. MiUI hides notifications and kills all the apps "by default". There's a solution for this: for the required apps, go to respective app settings & we have to enable "notifications, "auto start", provide "allow pop-ups" permission, "display on lock screen" permission. I've been using Poco F1 and this is what I do to get rid of this issue for any app that I want notifications to be shown properly. Hope this helps. Btw great video as always!!

Definitely a good phone in terms of the performance as I played call of duty on my primary one plus 8 and this one i found that op8 is dropping frames while this one actually doesn't. Found a lot of miui related issues also while using the phone and yeah proximity sensor issue i've also seen in this. Actually in terms of camera it has some good features too like audio zoom and vlog mode video recording n all. This is quite extensive review. I must say bahut bahut mehnat... Hats off to you sir. You are the inspiration.

Sirji in the video, you did the wifi speed test. I just want to ask 2 questions about that. 1. Which router you connected it to. Wifi 5 the default one or wifi 6 router (some new router that you've been using? 2. If you connected either with WiFi 5 or WiFi 6 whatever, can you plz tell the link speed by connecting it again to the same router. What's it's showing 863mbps or 1.2gbps? (for link speed click on arrow button which is just towards the router said name)

That gmail issue surely should have been because of autostart option being disabled for all apps which means miui doesn't let apps start in background which is weird and i guess these are few reasons they always get good battery life over other devices disabling autostart of essential apps and lot of such things plus miui can be termed as now memeui😂

I spoke with a MI store executive, he acknowledged there was an issue with the proximity sensor. However, he mentioned that the issue has now been resolved with a software update. Request for a confirmation if the info is true. Am looking forward to buy the MI 11X Pro

I got this one on 6 of May and was waiting for this video because of the best review, I will say I on my device I personally do not feel any proximity sensor issue during the call time ( more than 30 mins) also the camera is quite good I can show you some sample shots ( also used Gcam which makes the picture more clear and good) but yes the volume button is same as he mentioned and I feel battery life is less, they could give around 5k but it's good as it fully charged in around 50 mins but the main con is related with miui little bit of leg and double tap issue which is not negotiable I hope which will be sorted with the update the overall device and the review is very good thank you Ranjit sir 🙏

Using mi 11x for almost a month now I have to say for 25000 it is a really good smartphone I do have some minor bug as said by ranjeet sir but I didn't face a proximity sensor issue I have taken calls as long as 20min but didn't face any problem Camera is avg as he said but it was not my preference I installed gcam and it gives really good night shots too It is a really good phone for 25000 so happy I got it Was going for iqoo 7 but I did a bit of research abt there os updates and all and really negative feedback even from my friend There are some bugs in miui and there are always bugs in all ui except Google stock android atleast I know I'll get updates and also a lottt of mi service centres in my place iqoo doesn't even have a lot of service centres so after seeing all this I purchased mi 11x and for me it was a great purchase

Iqoo 7 will be my choice but u hv to decide Whether miui or funtouch Memc for videos or games Battery(slightly) or faster charging Better macro or main sensor & UW No VRAM support or VRAM(3gb)

Going to Buy MI 11x❤️,as soon as Lockdown is lifted in Delhi. If u know how to use Pro mode in MIUI..u can get excellent camera shots,even with budget smartphone
