One of the things I really like about this phone is the Bootloader unlock process. No phone, in this regard, has such easy unlock process. And also the availability for GrapheneOS on pixels is also pretty cool.

Google should move on from tensor to snapdragon soc. As people are not interested in buying pixel devices because of Tensor socs. Hence If they would come with Snapdragon soc then pixel series would make more impact. I hope one day it happens🤞

Ranjit i want you to highlight one biggest biggest biggest biggest point of pixel camera in india. Whenever i click photos with my pixel of human subject. Photos turn out extra dark than it is actually. Picel 4a had an amazing camera true tone. But from pixel 5 onwards , pixel photos specially of indian skin is not accurate. It darkens the dark spots of the skin making it look extra ugly that we actually are lol. Whenever i try to showoff camera of my picel 7 the photos of my friends and families are never wow or appreciated by them. In fact always lookks more ugly. And these issues are quite often highlighted by many here and there but its not getting the attention

Using different chipset will brings new problem. They have started Tensor in their mind so they can easily support devices for longer time and reduce the work for developing for multiple chipsets. But the a series price has to be changed.

As a Pixel 4a user, i must say Google is relying too much on their software. Their hardware aren't upto mark. Yes they have fantastic camera but they lack so hard on the video department. Battery is so tiny that if you use it for bigger loads like KZbin on speaker or music with maps it drains like bottomless glass. I have to charge my phone almost twice a day. And the ridiculous pricing.. Even I'm not tempted to upgrade my 4a for now.. The main reason I'm holding on to my Pixel is the form factor for now. I have ROG 2 as secondary. But i love using the pixel form.Really wished Asus could have Brought their Zenphone 10 or some other compact ones.

Yeah the pricing is just like EU without 2 yr warranty. I think with 7 yrs of updates, Google needs to officially cut prices of old models which provides a premium experience than similar cost A series. Less SKUs better experience due to lesser BOM costs. Exynos 2400 sustained performance was better than snapdragon which was surprising. So Samsung can design good chip. It would be better with tsmc but cost will be more since all tech companies have utilised 100% of its allocation. Vapour chamber will be needed on mid range and high range if they want always ON AI constantly running in background without causing high thermals

They won't stop the Pixel A series. They would skip A series for a year and start using the yesteryear processor in A series. I think that will be the big brain move... And maybe they wont call it A series. Branding the lesser variant Nexus and their flagship as Pixel will be welcome though. 😁

2 years ago when I bought 6A , it had the 18 watt charging. It took almost 2 hours and 10 minutes to charge . They should have increased the charging speed at least in 8a.

I am using pixel 7. I am not at all happy with pixel 7. Fingerprint sensor is a major issue with this phone. Previous to this I was using iphone 11 64gb. Used the phone for 3 years. I actually regret buying pixel 7.

Ranjit respectfully, a big hard Disagree on using slower chipset for A series to bring down price. As i am familiar with IT field, i guarantee that google saves much more money by having a single chip in all its devices hence reducing complexity, extra work of releasing multiple trial tested OS updates for two different devices, plus they can easily implement OS hardware level features for a single chip than two which would require more work. Its the same like Suzuki cars in india having same 1.2L petrol, new 1.5 diesel in every car. They save costs in R&D. Also, imo google has become apple like in pricing theor phones eventhough they dont cost that much. 8A should've been $400 & not $500.

The problem with Tensor is the crappy Samsung foundry using Exynos with Google's customisation. You see the issues being faced by Pixel are common in Exynos powered Samsung phones in the mid range. Good thing is that 2025 or Pixel 10 onwards, Google will ditch Samsung and move to TSMC's fabrication where they'll have a fully custom designed chip by Google and fabricated by TSMC. That should take care of the heating and network issues faced today and hopefully if they're customising it completely then maybe increase the clock speed of the processor to make it even more powerful.
