That is because no one will support American companies. Edward Monfort as seen on KZbin has EV vehicle designs ready to go that will compete right here in the US but American companies and inventors don't get funded. All companies and inventors like Edward dMOnfort are funded in China with ease. American investors are ignored and thrown to the side these days

Yep! Chevy, Ford and Ram only may hyper luxury monster trucks. They’ve basically abandoned the tradespeople and farmers who used to buy their work trucks. The result is that tradespeople keep their vehicles alive for far longer than in the past. In our small tourist and ranching town, the average vehicle is probably 15 years old.

In South Africa we have a huge gap in the market: The half and three-quarter tonne ute. Those vehicles were once abundant, but are no longer being manufactured or imported. A lot of businesses still rely on their aging utes (now mostly Chevy), but are unable to replace them.

absolutely - the INSANE suicidally STUPID "legacy" BIG AUTO execs & CEOs absolutely REFUSE to give auto, car & truck buyers WHAT THEY WANT - car & truck buyers WANT good reliable transportation at a decent price with maybe a few bells and whistles, but ALL the OEM execs want to sell is OVER-PRICED, OVER-STUFFED HIGH OPTIONS high-end luxury trucks & SUVs.... but since ALL THOSE OPTIONS mean a complex and convoluted supply chain (and production lines), even if you want to spend $80,000 on a big lux truck... you get a vehicle with DEFECTS, RECALLS, and super expensive maintenance issues

I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. You really have my attention with this one Sam! From everything you've told us here, if it becomes available in Canada, and at the price point described in this video, it would be a veritable answer to prayer. I live in a mountainous rural community that typically receives it fair share of snow, and the truck in your video would be ideal - I wouldn't have to load my 2WD van up in the winter to make it heavy enough to get around in winter. Side note: It's worth mentioning here that i recently looked into having my Chevy van upgraded to 4 WD. I was shocked by how much it would cost. The prices START at $20,000 Cdn - INSANE, especially for a vehicle that cost me less than $5,000 to purchase (used, but decent). The truck in your video is priced similarly to the cost of upgrading my old van, AND IT'S ELECTRIC! Thank you for keeping us up to date on the goings on of the electric vehicle market; I really appreciate what you do here!

To protect the US auto industry, Canada agreed to charge 100% tariff's on Chinese EV's, so double all the prices he just mentioned. Now since the US has decided to backstab Canada, it may be good time to take these ridiculous Tariffs off so that us Canadians can worry about Canada first instead of the US auto industry. It's time that we start trading with China instead of the US so that we can have much cheaper EV's and other products.

Trump's tariffs will turn this area into a poverty zone, for no particularly good reason, and leaving the 100% Chinese tariffs in place will do NOTHING to stop that. Actually, given how badly Stellantis is doing I don't think anything ANY politician does is going to change things, so we might as well let the Chinese in. Its a start. Heres the deal. Most Americans want F150, Silverado, and Ram 1500 size trucks. Until they can compete in that category, nobody will be scared. Come to the rural Midwest/South and you'll see what I mean. Here people pull heavy boats or other trailers regularly. Until towing is approaching 10000 lbs and 300 miles of range it wont catch on. Also has to be 4wd. I live in Minnesota and many plow snow with trucks as well.

Canadian and 2016, F150 owner here. I patiently baby my truck and await the day BYD or Geely or whichever Chinese manufacturer send the electric equivalent. If its as rugged, properly equipped, gets 800 km range, carries the same payload and trailer weight, and priced well under 60 k, then i will buy it. I believe its only a matter of time. 80 - 100 k for a new truck is obscenely expensive and i believe i will never buy an American made vehicle again. The big 3 have failed most average consumers and are not giving us what we want.

Pure electric won’t take off. US is a huge place and like the rest of the world charging is patchy (you’re an ev guy but admit it at least). BYD is onto it with the hybrid and that’s for a good chance. Friends that brought a shark 6 here in NZ love it and I reckon it’s fantastic. The only option, it can’t climb and it can’t tow. Electric motors have a flaw of lack of torque when it’s not put through a multi speed gearbox to multiply it. Fit at least a 3 or 4 speed to it and they will have it Sussed

You’re not updated. It’s already in Thailand. People have ordered one, bought one and running one, As of the moment I’m speaking. There are four models in Thailand, two models with use 2 Wheel drive and two models which using four-wheel-drive different battery size different and price from 899000 thb to 1299000 thb. These cars from what I understand are made in China. I live in an area in Rayong province of Thailand, where they are producing and starting factories like BYD, Aion and more. Since Japanese manufacturers in Thailand, have made the court here for a long time starting to be a race of unemployment, but we’ll see if the Chinese car manufacturers are coming to a replace that one more thing that is very important in this is automation, Aion in Thailand, and Rayong is from. I have heard quite automated factory, which means it will not create the amount of labor force that some might want. In Thailand the brand’s name is Riddara! FYI

We all need this. America Europe Africa China Australia Japan needs this! Right now the $120,000 Cyber Truck is out of reach for 99.9% of the general population. Only the ultra rich can afford a $120,000 EV Truck. Rivian DM $72,000 and Rivian loss per truck is $40,000 so that EV Truck should be $112,000 which is out of reach for Americans or the World. A general public EV truck $13,000 with optional battery TYPES and optional battery size. A EV with NaCl or LFP or NMC or LMgFP or SS battery type is the key to our EV future. We all need this.

EV battery types are changing advancing so fast EV companies must account for diffrent types of EV battery. That is the EV Today. NIO replace those AAs or AAAs EV battery is a joke. Maybe a Nuke Battery would work on a NIO design but not EV battery today.
