Telos IV was by far a great example of how actions of a journey can effect the ending of the story, and the actions of the Exile will change the course of Galactic history as she was able to unite the remnants of the Republic to defend Telos IV from this monster. Telos IV was an symbol of the Republic at the time, broken and ruined by the Jedi Civil War, but was slowing recovery from the wounds of war, and the Exile and her allies were there to defend that symbol from the Sith which they did.

Two words: Meetra Surik. She was a jedi so powerful that she makes Ahsoka look like princess peach. She not only was strong in the force but she also was a gifted general with immense charisma that managed to be respected by the Republic, the Mandalorians and even the wisest woman of it's time Darth Traya. Edit: I apologize for my earlier poor choice of words about one of the best sith in history.

in the "Revan" novel, Revan suggests that, for the first few years after the Jedi Civil War and the Dark Wars, Emperor Vitiate is still waiting on word from Malak, as he had corrupted and brainwashed the two of them. Meetra Surik & T3-M4 arrived on Dromund Kaas (about a year or so after KotOR2 iirc) and teamed up with Lord Scourge to rescue Revan from Darth Nyris; a member of the Dark Council, and part of a small cabal of Sith who knew what Vitiate had done to devour all life on Nathema a thousand years before. Those Sith were convinced that Vitiate was insane, and must never be allowed to start another war with the Republic; something they believed could only lead to the Sith's extinction. The problem was that everyone in said cabal was steeped in the Dark Side and thus could never conceive of the kind of tactics that would be needed to defeat Vitiate. They would never risk taking him on because none of them wanted to sacrifice themselves to save the Empire. Sacrifice each other, sure, but never themselves. While in captivity, Revan had been working to manipulate Lord Scourge, and helped him realise that truth, which prompted the team-up with Meetra Surik. Vitiate purged the Dark Council, and during the ensuing chaos, Revan, Meetra, and Scourge attempted to assassinate Vitiate to keep the Republic and the Sith Empire apart, which went horribly wrong... or horribly right depending on your perspective. Despite his obsession with learning from Revan, Scourge hadn't turned away from the Dark Side. He had a recurring vision of the three of them dying in agony at the Emperor's feet, and when a simultaneous vision of Scourge helping a different Jedi to defeat the Emperor hit him during the battle, he decided against the possibility of self-sacrifice and stabbed Meetra in the back. Vitiate destroyed T3 and incapacitated Revan, sparing Scourge when the latter claimed to have lured the Jedi to the Emperor. Recognising Revan, and curious has to how he had broken free of his brainwashing, Vitiate imprisoned the Prodigal Knight in stasis for the next 300 years; slowly feeding on his Force essence and trying to uncover all his secrets. As you may know from SWtOR, Revan, supported by Meetra's Force ghost, believed that he was influencing Vitiate during this time; convincing him that peace was in his best interests. How successful he was at that is open to interpretation, and given that the war happened eventually, you could say Revan failed... but his & Bastila's son got to grow up and live out his life in a relatively peaceful galaxy, which was one of Revan's hopes.

There was a Sith academy on Malachor before the Republic ever knew of it. Whether or not Nihilus was in the academy I can't recall however it was a planet inhabited by Sith. Kreia didn't create the academy she simply took over it.

Nihilus was kinda like a necromancer, if you think about it. He had magical power fueled by the death of others, and he even wore a robe and being a sith, was doing the equivalent of spellcasting. I think a great way to kill him logically would be to send a big group of Mandalorians. They'd have protection from his lightsaber, and when spread far enough, he certainly couldn't attack all of them fast enough with lightning. The average Mandalorian group with their good armor, jetpacks to stay at a distance, and large numbers of flamethrowers and explosives, would be a serious threat to pretty much every force user, unless they were using something truly ridiculous like Palpatine's rarely mentioned ability to scorch a planet's surface with his lightning, effectively meaning his classic line "UNLIMITED POWER" was true when it came to shocking stuff into submission. I fell like that combined with his super-fast lightsaber movements and agility could be enough to avoid harm while fighting them.

His lightsaber wasn't even his main weapon, he could drink the life out of people, not to mention he had a warship more than capable of defending itself, and the mandalorians wouldn't be protected by any sort of plot armor, so the space wizard with apocalyptic powers would win fairly easily

Nihilus' force lightning is stronger than Palpatine, Nihilus' force lightning is red which is the strongest type of Sith lightning and removes the targets ability to use the force. 3. Meetra Surik is the only person with the ability to defeat Nihilus, even those with massive power like Vitiate or Palpatine would fall.

@@amysargent4237 First, Darth Nihilus didn't have guts. He was essentially a force ghost posessing his robes because his hunger had consumed his body long ago. That being said, there are techniques to resist force drain. And while I don’t think Darth Nihilus' force drain was a normal force drain, as implied by Kriea, Abeloth was the strongest force user in existence other than Luke himself. If anyone could have stopped him ither than another wound in the force like him, it would be Abeloth.

You have to build influence with the Handmaiden through sparring and supportive dialogue with her during the first visit to the Jedi Temple on Telos. This has to happen before the encounter with Visas Marr.
