Several of the Grand Army of the Republic probably had different tactics that better suited them the best depending on the situation. The Galactic Republic’s Clone Army needed to diversified their tactics quickly for they could not rely on numbers for the CIS, and they had to create tactics that affect the Droids Army that will inflict massive damage to them.

You utilize the 41st's methodology on the vast array of planets and alien cultures that make up your galaxy as a force multiplier to dissuade/ persuade/ empower/ enable your side vs the enemy's, at a fraction of your own GAR's overall expense. THIS forces your enemy into more widespread efforts to constantly stamp out your small fires everywhere, and allows you to instead to knock out and besiege his key critical worlds/ systems.

As far as Gree goes, yeah, as a commander of a company, brigade, battalion, etc., Your focus is on the mission not your soldiers directly. This focus is left up to your 1st sergeants/command sergeant majors/ platoon sergeant's. The officer thinks while the enlisted acts.
