Been wondering about Geissele’s REBCG and how it cleans up especially at the tail. Your video is the first one that I’ve seen broken down and cleaned after using, Thanks👍🏻

I want to see a direct a comparison between this and the KAC bolt.
@OFFICIALUND3 жыл бұрын
You probably already know this, but the KAC has a redesigned (and incompatible with any standard barrel extension) bolt, which is (normally) not coated. KAC uses a mil-spec bolt carrier. The Geissele uses a different material for their bolt, and a couple of geometry things on the carrier, and is coated. The Geissele will work with standard barrel extensions. I wonder if the best thing wouldn’t be to take the Geissele carrier with the KAC e-3 bolt, but in reality the only downsides of the KAC bolt is incompatibility and “difficulty” in cleaning because it isn’t (normally) coated.

expensive, yes. great, yes!!! these Geissele BCG's are excellent for a solid ar-15 build i got one early this year and its smooth and reliable, no issues to date, have about 800 rounds using various 55-77 grain ammo and runs like a swiss pocket watch. 👍👍👍

I have the Geissele Super Duty pistol, and it's been jamming on me a lot lately. After cleaning and oiling, I can probably get like 2 mags through it before it stops cycling properly.
@MrDbtn3 жыл бұрын
Thats not good. What specifically is it doing? What type of malfunction?
@rorothegoatboat3 жыл бұрын
@@MrDbtn After a cleaning, I can get about 2 full mags through it no problem, then all of a sudden it starts to eject the old round and won't chamber a new one or sometimes just doesn't eject the old one at all, and in order to keep shooting I have to manually pull the charging handle back each time. I've tried different mags and even a 100 round drum, same issue.

@@rorothegoatboat sounds like a gas issue. Check gas rings, key and make sure gas ports are clear. Also check gas block and clean if it’s adjustable.

The difference between the Enhanced bs the regular, just the finish/coating?
@Lynyrd_Evnyrd4 жыл бұрын
Matthew Traynor the bolt is forged and made using a new metal called C158+. Also the carrier geometry is “improved” by changing the rails along the carrier to better interface with the receiver.

These bcg are rated for 100,000 rounds. Which is ridiculously long firing schedule. A normal bcg *might* go for 20000 rounds.

The picatinny DSL/ nanoweapon coating is another feature you wont find in a normal milspec carrier. you can not scratch DLC steel. It is literally as hard as diamond.

We’re you able to score this on a sale? I’m hoping it goes on sale for Memorial Day. Word on the street is that the standard bcg they sell are made by colt and this one is made in house. I’m curious to find out if it’s worth double the cost of the standard bcg they sell.
@MrDbtn4 жыл бұрын
I got it on sale. Black Friday. I have been told most of their stuff is being made in house. The standard bolt carrier group is a basic mil-spec BCG like would come from Colt. The coating and cam pin are the two major upgrades to the REBCG. For me it is worth the additional expense. In general, I do not clean my guns often. I just keep adding lubrication. When I do clean them though, I like for them to be well cleaned. The speed of cleanup due to the coating is worth it to me.
@richardj37154 жыл бұрын
It is on backorder currently. I called Geissele and was told there was no estimated in stock date and to just keep checking back. Doesn't look promising to be available for a Memorial Day sale but, perhaps, a July 4 sale.

The whole upper is doing very well. It is my day to day duty gun and I have not had any issues. It is shot a lot and always suppressed. It gets very dirty but the bolt carrier group cleans up very easily.

Wear some nitrile gloves man. I dont shoot a ton but i still dont want the lead and solvents/gun oil getting directly on my skin and soaking/absorbing in. I introduce enough carcinogens and bad shit into my body as it is so when i can, i try to take some precautions here and there. I know, it sounds silly for a smoker to say "hey boss, I want a N93 mask before I work on that machine bc it had mice living in it and im gonna be breathing all that shit(literally) in, when i smoke cigs. Or masking when i spray paint. Ive damaged my eyes, ears and lungs enough already at 35 and I want those things to work for me as long as possible so me personally, i dont think its crazy.

Much better off with an LMT ENHANCED Bolt
@lioncelica51702 жыл бұрын
I do no understand why everyone fellates Geissele when the LMT enhanced is an actually improved design and has a different coating than stock as well. Geissele sucks
@joshuabruce9920 Жыл бұрын
To be fair that LMT enhanced has had its fair share of problems. I've heard issues with the lobster tail bolt. And everything being proprietary where this I can grab anything milspec and replace a part. I mean sure you could swap the whole bolt out of the carrier with the LMT but that bcg is made for supressed and overgassed guns. If im not mistaken it was designed for the supressed mk18. And now that I've been in the game a min I see phosphate FN bcg for 250 and all kinds of other quality bcg that run 200-250, so at 299(on sale and if you know the right place to look) with the enhanced coating and bolt metallurgy it's not a bad deal. It's expensive tho I get it. I'm perfectly fine with a quality microbest w/ chrome line bore and gas key. But for the 11.5SD I'm piecing together, I just might grab one of these. And full disclosure I do own a decent amount of blemula and 50% sale Geissele products, so I'm admittedly a bit of a fanboy. But trust me I get allllll the complaints I hear about Geissele. I hear they have a cavalier attitude a lot of the time when it comes to ppl complaining about finish issues etc from what I've read they had a bad batch of phosphate on some barrels and they had a "yea but does the gun still shoot?" Kinda attitude when it came to rust concerns at a very low rd count.
