I just installed a NOCO in my Dyna. It's double the cranking amps of the stock battery. It turns the engine like never before. It also has BMS (battery monitoring system) built in which is a great thing to have on Lithium Batteries. I also purchased the NOCO charger. I purchased both on Amazon. I'm happy! One final note, I'm just a little guy that bought the battery. I have no strings to anyone. By the way, nice video as well as the tip on which terminal to remove first and which to install first going back. I'm one of the ones that learned that lesson way late the hard way. It can wind up very bad! Don't tell anybody.

@@stanbyme3414 NOCO suggests you use one of their chargers for their batteries. Not having the wherewithal to dispute their suggestion I purchased the GENIUS1. Cute little charger that seems to work as one would expect. The NOCO chargers don't have SAE connectors which is the connector my Harley pigtail came with. NOCO does sell an adapter that converts their connector to the SAE connector on my Harley. This adapter can be found in the NOCO store on Amazon. It's the model number GC009. I hope this helps.

@@williamwintemberg right on, I am buying both you mentioned now,and how often you suggest I connect that genius 1 to my bike?
@williamwintemberg
@williamwintemberg 2 жыл бұрын
@@stanbyme3414 I'm thinking it all depends on how often you ride the bike. Most lithium ion batteries prefer to sit at around 50 to 60 percent charge unlike lead acid that like to be float charged at close to 100 percent. They don't self discharge nearly as fast as lead acid batteries. I don't know what accessories you may have on your bike that may present a parasitic load on the battery. Mine just has what ever electronics that make the engine run. One thing you don't want to do is charge the battery when the battery is below freezing as it may cause damage to the battery over time. All that to say this, you will have to experiment. I have had a lithium battery in my Harley since 2014 and have had good luck charging mine every one to two months. Your results may be different. Just remember, lithium ion batteries don't like going below around 15 percent and they don't like staying at 100 percent. Keep them at around 80 percent and you will get the best life out of them. You will get the hang of it. Keep this stuff in mind because if you do it's probably going to be a long time before you ever have to buy another battery.

@@williamwintemberg first I want to thank you for taking the time and passing on this knowledge to me I really appreciate it and current problem I have is after I swapped out the battery it was a simple negative terminal positive terminal reattach to the lithium I start the bike let it idle and it likes to jump 14-to 16 volts on my gauge which is in the red line of the volt gage ,why is my bike doing this now do you know?

Another great video! Good info. I have heard good things about the lithium batteries. In theory they last longer and reduce weight. I am going to continue using Lead-Acid batteries of the non-spillable AGM type because Lead-Acid types are recyclable and recover nearly 100% of the Lead. If you buy Lead-Acid type batteries try to buy one that is not run down below 12.5vdc or it might be weak from self discharging and staying that way too long.

Noco is a smart company. They also have good products. I have the G1100 maintainer for years now. Never failed me. I am going to give them first try on my first Lithium 20 model for my 2020 Goldwing which has a Yuasa AGM, which already is struggling due to the high crank required to move a 6cyl block. Time will tell how well they hold. The G1100 has a charging option for Lithium.
