This series is so illuminating! I originally got gel pens to do art with but quickly realized I liked them much more for writing/journaling so that's all I've been using them for and I use other mediums (paints, colored pencil, etc.) for art. Kind of a good thing - because, seriously, how many mediums can I do? 😝but now you're making me see all the neat stuff I can do with gel pens in my art. Love it! Thank you so much.

I am so glad I happened o to your KZbin channel! I am a huge fan of gel pens and this Isabelle game changer for sure. I’m 55 yrs old and color to relax and veg. All of my grandkids are huge color fanatics as well. (No surprise there. Lol). Even the 2 yr old. There are some pens I don’t like but this may just change my mind.

can gel pens on top og an oil based pencil
@debhorn23066 жыл бұрын
I've done this many times! If coloring a large space such as sky or a blank wall, I often start by testing my proposed color with pencil in a small area. If It does not work, it's erasable. If it does work, it can be darkened with more pencil of the same or any number of other colors. Then gel pens work great on top the pencil(s) using Jennifer's terrific gel pen techniques. I can't wait to try using highlighters for the base. I have been teased over and over for having so many gel pens and colored pencils. Now, after watching this series with your great advice on building my collection, I feel fully vindicated and suffered no pangs of guilt for going to IKEA mainly to look for a larger basket to keep them all in!
