Gel printing: easy methods to lift an image transfer off the gel plate | etsy shop sale

In this gel printing easy tutorial we are going to see 5 different ways to pull or lift a photo or an image off the gelli plate for a great monoprint. These are all great method for image or photo gelli transfer. We are going to use the wet method, white acrylic paint, acrylic medium such as matte medium, 3 different colors, clear sticky tape and even water!
The good thing about using acrylic medium is that it pull the image clear so you can easily pull the image over any background.
All of these are obviously great gel plate printing techniques and work great with any mixed media technique.

@@NitsaCreativeStudio - Yes, you print your photo or image onto the decal waterslide paper then soak in water for a short time and the "decal" of your image slides off. Everything that was white in your image is now clear and the background of whatever you adhere it to shows through! So it's great for mixed media collage. I just bought some and haven't tried it yet but it's a unique transfer method I thought you might want to check out! Note: They have it for laser printers AND for ink jet printers so you have to make sure you get the right one!

I’ve watched several of your videos and have your book. I bought a gel plate and I have tried many tunes with no success. My printer says it is inkjet, but the images never stick to the gel plate. I’ve used acrylic paint and the matte medium, but no results. What might I be doing wrong?

Yes, this process doesn't work with inkjet only with laser or toner based photocopies

You can use color laser photocopy the only issue is that it's hard to get good contrast from a color print, but otherwise it defenitely works.
