To me this is a dream come true. I'm literally counting the days till August 30th. I'm 35 now, I've loved the movie since I was a kid. It will be heartbreaking to see the massacre of the Gelflings, yet at the same time I'm super excited to see it. I wonder if those old ruins in the movie will be shown as a populated place, and if we'll see the deaths Kira mentions she smells in the castle. I wonder if we'll see a prologue where the crystal gets cracked. There's so much I'm excited for and curious about.

And most younger ppl now haven’t seen those either it’s not a slight it’s a fact. And not knowing about something isn’t a slight everyone starts not knowing anything and older movies are one of those things.

I was definitely obsessed with the original movie in Middle School....I watched it multiple times, read the novelization, bought the comic book and the crappy Apple ][+ animated RPG (with full text commands) based on it as well. Why was it that Kira knew what dreamfasting was and Jen didn’t? The podlings could not have taught her they don’t have the ability. Could she be older then Jen and has memory of dreamfasting with her family? Also how does she know boys don’t have wings and girls only do but Jen didn’t know that? How does she know more about being a gelfling then he does? If she lost her family at a young age too. Did the podlings teach her about her race ? Why didn’t the uru teach Jen about gelflings? Are the females in the gelfling race the more intellectually higher ones? Just some thoughts 🙂
