I love your wipe off tray, great idea . I like that you start with a solid color .makes perfect sense. I always gravitated to using big stencils that covered my gelli plate, but that's limiting .I love the stamp effect and combining designs. The results are great for collaging and every print is one of a kind perfect for your art. I don't use my gelli plate often enough, but you inspired me to pull it out. Great video, full of so many good ideas. Thanks Denise. : )

I’m always happy and grateful that I inspire you Ina! I love playing with my gelli plate and make so many papers at once that I don’t get to play with it enough! I have a drawer full of papers to keep me busy. As always…thank you for watching! We’re vacationing in Yellowstone this week…we’ve never been here before and of course the skies are smokey from CA fires…just our luck! 😏🙄😜

SO DARN helpful, especially the tip about pre selecting your paint colors! Everything just flows from there. I was getting overwhelmed with color choice and decision making, it took the fun out of it. Thanks Denise 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I feel that way too Diane…overwhelmed with color sometimes! If I pick out my colors, and stick to them…I have so much more fun! Thanks so much for watching, so glad I prompted a new idea for you!😎

Hi Diana…KZbin used to message me when I had comments…I guess they quit as I didn’t see your message until tonight! I too love putting art tutorials on while I work in my studio…it’s relaxing and I can look up when something catches my interest! I did teach for three years in a studio in San Diego and then another year online during COVID. I’m gearing up to do a few video courses the first of the year…though for now exploring a bit on where I want my art to go next. Glad your found me and I recognized your cheetah 🐆 !🧡🧡🧡

That is so nice to hear Lynhy...I really enjoy doing this work, and watching others do it on KZbin. That is my go to place when I'm trying to figure something out...and it is so sweet to hear when someone learns and enjoys what I have to offer. Thank you!

It can be overwhelming, I know Betsy…there are so many things you can do with it and so many videos to see more. I pulled mine out today just to create backgrounds on cards to add collage papers on. Sometimes I just love making colored papers I can tear apart to use for collage. Thanks so much for watching and messaging me!🧡

Your information is greatly appreciated! I'm mainly an Abstract Acrylic painter but I also love weird collages and maybe adhering collage elements into my paintings. And I also love the idea of making simple but beautiful little books for my poetry.

I love making these little books. I was inspired to add this video to my channel because we are leaving for a two week road trip and I wanted to make sure I had my journals out and ready to travel and keep creating. I've wandered between representational oils and abstract acrylics...and settled with mixed media because I love laying papers down. I highly recommend adding collage and crazy stuff into your work...you're gonna have so much fun with it. Thanks so much for watching...and I love your poetry idea!
