@@IamFish_2009 As far as I can tell, the point of those 3 is that they're "other people" in the sense that they're always judging you, are never satisfied and ultimately nothing you do will change that. Also, "other people" is a polite way to say "cattle" because their opinions are worthless and shallow, but they come in large enough numbers that they manage to have sway. (just like a certain yellow jackass, who got their approval without passing their tests)

Agreed! My stats say I got 100% exploration so I’ve obviously been to every area, but I only have 85% chests. So they must be REALLY hidden well in 1-2 of those places I’ve been. And I’m being honest when I say 4 of the chests I found were REALLY hard to find and get to.

I played Dandara on mobile with my absolute potato of an Android. I had no idea of how to play the game since there were no helpful guides. I honestly thought elder was the last voice, but suddenly a screaming head appeared which took me literal days to beat. I recently bought the game on PC and have been enjoying it so far! Though definitely not looking forward for the clock tower…

spoilers!! there are three characters you meet in the hidden lands that give you trials to prove yourself as a worthy reincarnate of dandara (at least i'm p sure lol) and only with their help are you able to free nara and get to that final boss, so essentially they were your teachers in a way and it's a funny little gag they put in if tormenta beats you enough times

theres a lot of new areas which include these two fights, and both easy and challenge modifiers

its a quite big expansion, interwined with the main story, so you don't have do finish the base story to start exploring it. it has basically a whole new world in size to the normal map size and quite good challenges to complete, beyond the bosses. as you progress in the base story you can reach more places in the new map

A little late on the response here, but the dlc actually provides several new sections that run parallel in progression to the original main world after beating the second boss. Two new abilities were added along with three new large areas to explore. Practically doubling the content of the game. The area farthest East in the hidden realms is my favorite area in the entirety of the game. If you’ve already played the game and beaten the dlc portion that’s awesome, just wanted to let you know just in case!

@Angelo Zamora You have 100% completion in both treasures and exploration for both the over world and the hidden realms if you go for it, which I would highly recommend. Which can total around 12-20+ hours. In terms of replay-ability it’s not too much different than other metroidvanias, unless you love sequence breaking super Metroid. A “steel soul” kind of self imposed permadeath would be a fairly intense experience if you were up for it. If you’re into speed running I don’t think this game will get boring if you do true ending %, as it is very execution heavy including a few cool tricks. Might I recommend the roguelite genre? One Step From Eden is a great game if you’re interested, and like the mega man battle network series.

there are some challenge mods after beating for more sauce, if you are sadistic you can even play with a bunch of them turned on for maximum despair, even the tutorial gets dark souls approved

i was about to buy this game, but i saw some reviews on steam who said it was "unplayable" with mouse and keyboard. is that true? i dont really trust steam reviews when they mention that because most of the times im fine, but id like to hear if any of you had that problem

Trials of Fear changed the mouse controls to be a bit more intuitive, but gamepads are still recommended. I'd say at least that it got better than all the reviews.

No way is it unplayable. The devs recommend you play with a gamepad, but I played the whole game (normal + expansion) and got 100% exploration. After all of this I think mouse and keyboard is even probably the good way of playing it, I can't imagine how the controller is. It felt so good with mouse+keyboard.

I’ve explored 100% of the new area but I’m still only at 85% of chests. Wtf? I even found A LOT of the super secret hidden ones. So the devs must have went crazy again and made some REALLY whacked out hidden spots for the last 3/4 chests I’m missing cause I’ve exhausted the area...though, I haven’t found or fought the final boss yet so I don’t know if you get stuff after beating?

After 2 days I just finally beat goddamn tormenta. Yeah that was long, but... not to toot my own horn but without salt boost and just with the primary limited weapon. And that was because first I chose the panda gamepad mapper instead of the normal gamepad way because this game doesnt like generic gamepads apparently. So some buttons didnt function properly. Im talking about android. I failed failed failed..then I thought well maybe there is some difference if I return to the normal way even with just using the primary weapon alone. And WOW. IT IS A BIG DIFFERENCE. The speed is excitingly insane with proper gamepad input. I cursed the devs first but later I figured it out YOU COULD EVEN DO A PERFECT TO THIS BOSS. NICE game as always. Nice to return, but honestly I wanted a proper sequel.

Fuck that last boss. It's literally 10 times harder than anything in the game. The difficulty spike from the whole game until that point is ridiculous. They made it way too hard. I didn't play the normal version and with the trials of fear edition you don't get the end credits after the Eldar boss. It goes straight in to that boss and it's way harder. As extra content its fine to make it that hard but with the trials of fear edition it's basically the main game now so it shouldn't be that hard. If you go in to the fight with no salt or barely any you can't do it the way he did where you make your attacks hit a lot harder. Without being able to use salt to buff your skills those floatinf head enemies take a lot of hits to kill. It takes about 15 of the green rockets, don't know the exact name of them, and not sure how many normal shots.

in fact, you only face Tormenta if you want to. When you are approved by the three guys, they allow you to release Nara and make the real ending, but if you don't release Nara the game ends by defeating Eldar

it is really hard indeed, but using the rockets is even harder, as they have so little dmg to help you, im trying to beat tormenta now using anxiety shock and is way better, even if it burns energy like crazy. looking at the comments you can roll back and search any remaining loot by talking to granny self at the right of the final camp to buff yourself

Maybe I missed something or didn't know I could but honestly I probably wouldn't have done that bc I wanted to play everything it has to offer. The difficulty spike was just ridiculous. It's a long fight and there's no checkpoint and nothing in the rest of the game was even remotely that hard. Yeah some stuff was difficult but I could beat it within 3 to 5 tries whereas that boss I died like 15 times in row, maybe more. I didn't even beat it if I remember right. I got aggravated and quit which I never do. If I play most of a game I finish it. The only time I quit a game is if it sucks or is broken. I did quit demon souls remake which was made great and is great but for some reason the input delay is like 1 to 2 seconds. I can take my finger completely off the button after pressing it, then after half a second after that my character does the action. That game is super frustrating when it doesn't do what you want right away. It makes it impossible. I can't figure out if it's a setting on my TV making it do that or what bc I've tried damn near everything besides changing tvs. I have a LG CX which has 120 hz refresh rate and is supposed to have really low input lag. I don't have a problem with any other game either. I probably need to try it on my old samsung SUHD TV and see if it's better. Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with this game or your comment and I kinda went off on a rant. It just pisses me off bc I really want to play that game. But back to dandara, is there an easier way to beat that boss?

@@bryandedon7459 this boss is really very difficult, and you will not be able to defeat him until you are strong enough. If you need to improve your skills, just talk to the old woman who is on the right of the map and choose to wait. Once this is done, the map will return to normal and you will be able to become stronger (However, it will be necessary to defeat Eldar again). I do not know if it is possible to make the original ending of the game, but it helps a lot to defeat the boss. I don't know if it will help you but, he is strong, but not so much. What can hinder you in this fight is the amount of enemy that appears on the screen, but if you play calmly you will notice that his movements are slow and that there are many opportunities to attack him.

that's it, they are the review board, could save the world with some finger snaps but are too unphased to do actual work so they spend their days roasting ppl who actually care. at least they give you a skill to progress in the new lands
