@mordechai- , Yehovah gave his name and proclaimed power in his name. Hasatan has manipulated the ancient rabbinical thought to weaken the name by using variations. Nothing is thrown away or destroyed as there is nothing new under the sun. Yehovah is such a powerful name, so we should proclaim it in all its glory, making sure to not dishonor his name by acting in a manner in conflict of his character, thus blaspheming his his name by wearing it unreservedly. But ... I highly respect your commitment to your interpretation of the 3rd commandment. Shalom!

Though I was a great fan of movies of the 30s and 40s in my youth, and my name is Fitzgerald, I'm not sure I caught this one. Couldn't help thinking how Irish I thought Tyrone Power looked, though I never thought so before. Turns out his roots in Ireland go back to the 1700s. His great-grandfather was named Tyrone Power, and was famous Irish actor and comedian. I knew this Tyrone Power mostly from Zorro with Basil Rathbone, which still holds up if you watch it today. His fight with Basil at the end is considered one of cinema's best sword fights.

Whenever I find this movie on KZbin, I have to watch it, and I've watched it more than a dozen times. Being of Scotch- Irish heritage, just appeals to me.

I haven't enjoyed a film as much as this in years!, thank you so much, and Horace, I think he might be Dr Chumley s brother!. If you could help me I'd be eternally grateful, I have been trying for years to find a way of seeing Sally's Irish rogue, titled in America as, The poachers daughter, made in Ardmore Studios in 1958. Many thanks again and my very best wishes to you. Gérard lacey in Ireland. X.

I've never understood why it is stealing if you take gold from a human, but not stealing if you take gold from a leprechaun. It's HIS gold.

@eileenmoore5960 Me too! And I'm 62. I first read about leprechauns when I was a kid, probably around 55 years ago, and I've wondered since then!

The leprechauns got it under dubious circumstances in the first place

@@movinon1242 According to Google: In Irish folklore, leprechauns are said to have obtained their gold in a number of ways: Vikings According to one legend, leprechauns found gold that Vikings left behind after invading Ireland in 795 AD. Treasure-crocks According to William Butler Yeats, leprechauns uncovered and took treasure-crocks that were buried during wartime. Shoemaking Leprechauns were paid in gold coins for shoemaking services to other fairies. Seems honest to me.
