I agree, Selesnya Enchantments is definately a Tier-1 deck for BO1 Standard. I've got beaten so often by this deck, it seems impossible to win the race when they have their lifelinking, their removal und their card advantage. So if you're playing Aggro yourself, you need to hope that the opponent does not get his crazy synergies going. I'd like to play it myself, but most of the Rare key cards (Kami of Transience, Weaver of Harmony) will be rotating out in September, so I never "wasted" my Wildcards for these.

It is crazy how the deck is most built from a set from two years ago and has always remained a strong deck and will till rotation. They really gave it so many tools.

One interesting thing you might have missed against mono red is that kathilda has protection from vampires, so you couldve blocked and gained 1 life/stopped 2 damage

You should try a couple copies of the battle that grabs an aura and when flipped is a 4/4 that draws a card whenever you cast an enchantment (crazy) and gains lifelink/indest with 3 enchantment under control

@@AceMTG don't sweat it. 95% mythic is luck rolls. A lot of black removal, a lot of control. It's very luck depending

It's almost nothing but control or people running all sorts of removal. Temporary lockdonw, cut down, the likes. It''s just really really rough.

So for building up account resources -- normally I buy the pack bundle because I don't mind that expense every expansion and then dump the rest of my gold into packs and drafting (normally around 60K). Do you think it's more efficient to do the events instead of packs? I can consistently hit high diamond so I think my skill level is somewhere around above average to slightly above average.

For me doing the events is way better than paying gold for packs. But if you're the I want my reward now and full set early buying is best. For 2000 gold you buy two packs. For 2500 gold if you get five wins you get two packs and 400 gems. 400 gems is worth another 4 packs. So at that rate it is way more profitable. But it is all about the minimum of five wins and willing to wait to get those packs and a full set.

Wonder why the initial decks you face in this tend to be lower tier. If I was paying gold to play an even I'd use my strongest deck.

It has always surprised me but you will normally get lower-tiered decks in the events than on the ladder. People are paying gold or gems to enter and yet come with decks lacking cards. So because so many underpowered decks enter you will only face them first few rounds. Then later those other decks you're up against also have 3-6 wins like you so more likely to be quality decks.

This deck seems super hard to play. I'm getting completely crushed in events, multiple 1-3s with my best record so far being a 4-3. Seems like they always have conteurplay ready for my main threats but then if I try to bait them I'm just too slow and get out-tempoed.

This might be one I'm biased on because I always get crazy good records with it. Also on Untapped it is always one of the higher win rate decks on the ladder. I'm sorry about your results.

of course. I would also say try to use gold for sure till you are confident in the five or more wins. The 2500 gold comes back from two days of quests and daily wins. @@WilkenKear

I'm surprised this has been your experience with it. I've always found it to a pain in the butt to deal with and can be so incredibly explosive. On the ladder I would normally use protection spells as well for that spot removal you talk about but overall have always had really good success with it.
