Sad to say, I am a little underwhelmed. I expect Gemma being an actress to be a little bit more Dolly, but alas! There were gaps sometimes during ballroom hold. I thought this would be Gemma's week, after all she's stronger in ballroom, she's an actress. What could go wrong? Well, nothing went wrong, but nothing spectacular either. 7

Interestingly, Shirl praised her frame and Craig disagreed with her. And I'm not at all sure I don't agree with Craig - I can see that left shoulder and elbow doing a lot of bouncing up and down - compare to Aljaz, who is steady as a rock.

Agreed. Gemma seems all too aware that her dancing is erratic. People saying undermarked on twitter are the die hard fans who would still vote for her even if she fell over. This standard of dancing at this stage of the competition does not deserve a semi final place. It's ridiculous. Davood has been much more consistent than Gemma for weeks and should not have been in the dance off. Maybe they should change the voting to judges only from quarter final onwards

Craig made up the 10 second rule just to criticise even more, this had way more than 10 secs out of hold and Craig didn't pick up on it, he should be ashamed for lying to us!

I would have liked the camera work to have shown more of this dance. Look, Gemma's really come a long way and I wouldn't rule out her getting to the final. She looked stunning here but I was kind of expecting more pizazz. The extra dancers can be a blessing or a curse. I'm not sure they were needed here after the start.There's 1 place up for grabs I think and there's all to play for; so let yourself go Gemma.

Great song, great mood. She looked amazing. Her frame was excellent but he top line was poor and there was gapping in places. In addition, sometimes she went out of character. However, her musicality was superb and her footwork was flawless. A 7.

Messy and kinda scatter-brained routine if I'm honest... Frame looked very relaxed and not taught enough... skippy steps there as well during the scatter sashey. The added dancers and production wasn't needed here, Gemma looked overwhelmed by it all. They must be in the DO this week, she'll be too tired for 2 dances next week... Davood VS Gemma I'm predicting.

It was heavy footed, not very light, there was slight gapping. I think 28 might feel unfair to others, but this HONESTLY doesn't deserve more than 30.

I don't think she will make the final. Like Jake Wood / Lisa Riley she has support but is clearly the weakest left. Will struggle for votes if she gets to semis as me and I expect a lot of others will power vote for Alex / Debbie / Joe to get to the final. Her Vs Davood / Mollie for dance off.

Karis Gorst I think this was my problem- rather than Gemma being undermarked (which I feel she was a little)- it was the fact that they deemed Mollie to have danced better?! Two nines for that rumba. Bruno has always been a bit of an anomaly, but I thought Shirley knew better.

He is actually very strong guy (although not visible from the videos), so you can imagine how heavy the load that supposedly improved ... but anyway, her performance looked better to me than previous ...

What a childish, immature comment. I'm sure the judges think she's lovely like everybody else. It's not about "liking" Gemma Atkinson the person. It's not a personality quest. The judges are judging the performance in front of them - not whether or not they like her as a person.

If the judges didn’t like her, why did Shirley say about the pair « The dark horses need to start looking behind them »?? She stumbled here and there in this routine sadly and that’s why the judges had to be harsh on her especially now that they’ve reached the quarter finals. Not her best performance but I’m sure she’ll come back fighting for the semi finals.

Emily Florence it's nothing to do with whether they like her or not. This was erratic. She should have gone home. This is not good enough for the semi final. Voting for Beauty over performance

oh dear the dress, made her look pregnant. I don't think Gemma is a deserved Finalist, her Blackpool dance was her best - most have been average. this QS was fairly dull, judges comments were fair. How will she fair next week learning 2 dances, it took her 4 days to learn this dance to this standard?

It was ok but a little slow at the start and then turned in to Quickstep and she also attempted the lock step very early in the dance so then we saw Quickstep and was very classy. She might be in danger sadly but it was still a good routine. 8

Sorry to Gemma fans I know you love her but in the semi finals? Makes a bit of a mockery of the whole dance competition. Difficult to watch this unfairness really. Gemma is an experienced actress and even that part was not performed well enough to save this. Her dancing has been erratic for weeks and both Davood and Alexandra were better. I love Gemma too but she really has not earned her place. The public vote from here forwards seems to have little to do with the dance. Happens every year
