the perfect video because I am torn on a first gen tundra I am going to look at tomorrow and a more modern f150 or silverado but the tundra comes about $10k under the rest in price and really clean 06 limited for 14.5k 101k miles. so altho not looking at a raptor as much as a newer 5.0 still good to see the size comparison between these two!

Im in this position currently. I really want a gen 1 raptor but also looking at a 21 tundra trd pro and of course I know the Toyota reliability is there. I'm very torn because love the appearance of gen 1 raptor

Hey man, do you still have the folding tundra bed cover? I may be interested in buying it off you for my first gen DC Tundra

This is a random comparison but perfect video for me because I was looking at a 2005 tundra DC limited vs a 2014 Ford Raptor. I ended up with the raptor and I don’t regret it one bit. Although I think I probably would have felt the same with the tundra. They are both different in their own ways. 6:30 I disagree with you on this. Both of them are bloated on prices. A used 2005 tundra DC in very good condition with 200k miles will go for 10-12k and there is millions of them out there. A 2014 raptor in very good condition with 200k miles will go for 18-21k and raptors cost a lot because it’s one of a kind. We talking about a offroad purpose built straight from factory. Before the raptor was revealed the SVT actually entered a raptor to a Baja race and won 3rd place. 6:38 I agree with this. The 6.2 is pretty reliable, if you look into the super-duty forums there is lots of them reaching 400k and keep in mind these super-duty trucks are being used for heavy towing. The Toyota 4.7 is proven reliable there’s been a bunch that reach the million mile marker. I love the 4.7 but don’t like how you gotta replace the timing belt regularly. I would be super impressed if there was a 400k mile 4.7 that still has the factory timing belt.

@@Garagetopics yes I saw the spoiler alert haha congratulations. How much did you pick it up? So at the time i was looking at trucks. 2005 Tundra DC limited 4x4 200k miles $11.5k 2010 Tundra CM SR5 4x4 200k miles $12k 2014 Tundra 1794 edition 108k miles $28k 2014 Ford Raptor 193k miles $21k. I settled with the raptor. It has about $12k worth of mods. So it was worth every penny I paid for. Clean inside/out. Clean title. Bought from original owner. Runs really good.

No it wont. Not even the newer toyota 5.7L has more power than that 6.2L. The 4.7 L is whimpy next to it.
