If I were limited to factory redline I would increase the stroke also. They also increased the stroke for detonation tolerance.

Nice video! I’m going to say that the cooling gallery and associated oil inlet and outlet are likely as-cast features and not friction welded, since this is an Aluminum piston.

Yeah, after shooting this I realized it was likely a salt ring cast.

Do we know how "new" the S650 Mustang's EcoBoost engine is? Ford lists it as being part of the "Modular Power Cylinder" family, but I can't find much information about this. The revised bore and stroke suggest this is an entirely different design than the outgoing 2.3, which, of course, has Mazda roots.
