One thing about Angus Young - he never stops moving while he is on stage ! xx

Angus is actually a very impressive guitar player. HE IS MORE WILD LIVE IN CONCERT, and still plays flawlessly while jumping off amps, spinning on the floor like one of the 3 stooges, or doing his Chuck Berry "duck walk" all the way across the stage. His school boy outfit is his super hero costume, and he is a super hero on guitar. So is his 5'3" brother in the back on the other guitar. Angus is 5'2". Most of the band was born in Scotland and moved to Australia in the 60s. Their first year, 1973, and their first singer, Dave Evans, left little behind, no recordings. Bon Scott joined in 1974 and took the band to international fame by 1979. Bon died in 1980 and this song, this album (one of the best selling records of all time and it still sells to each new generation). was a tribute to Bon, released just a few months after he died. They just released another new album about 2-3 years ago.

Schuyler...I bet this song makes you think of driving in the desert because in the beginning of Iron Man, Tony Stark is being driven through the desert by those military folks and this song is playing!

Angus Young (5'2" lead guitar) and his brother Malcolm (big guitar in back 5'3") started this group in 1973 with Phil Rudd (drums, and the only Aussie in the group) and Dave Evans (1st singer) and toured Australia, just years after moving there from Scotland after a few terrible winters. 1974, they dropped Dave and hired Bon Scott, despite him being 8-10 years older than the rest of the band. Bon. also from Scotland, had moved to the Perth area. With Bon, and later their bassist, Cliff Richards (also from Scotland) they toured Australia, put out a record, and then toured England. It took 4-5 years until HIGHWAY TO HELL in 1979 that they really broke through the American market and the rest of their albums from 74-78 were released in 79 as well. In 1980, Bon Scott died after a drinking mishap, and was replaced by Brian Johnson, from the gruffed voiced Geordies" from New Castle England. They continued to have hit album after hit album until just the last 10 years, losing Malcolm just a few years ago. This song, and this album released in 1980, was their tribute to their lost singer, Bon, and it became the biggest, or almost the biggest, rock album ever. This is one of those albums that you would put the needle down on the turntable, sit back and listen to the whole thing, two or three times. This album still has impressive sales as every generation since 1980 (when I was 10_) continues to buy their own copies.
