When I was a kid, my family took me and my brother to see the Spongebob movie in theater. Everything was fine up until the gift shop where Spongebob and Patrick sing as they slowly shrivel up and turn into objects. Right at the moment they pretty much die,... the movie froze and the film started twitching so much you can see the whole strip, then we had to go home because the movie broke. So that’s how the movie ended for me. It scared me so much that I hid under the bed during this scene when I watched it at home. If that is not the most creepypasta shit to have ever happened to me then I don’t know what is.

Another reason the THX logo was scary is when it played in theaters, it wasn't just loud, it was deafening and it felt like it was coming from all around. Most movies start out kinda quiet, so it definitely felt jarring. I wasn't scared of it, but a lot of times it woke me up on the verge of sleep when it would play late at night and mom was watching a movie.

26:01 All because of Friday Night Funkin, there is absolutely no other reason why. It all started when Pico was introduced into game cause the game itself had Newgrounds origin. Pico was famed for his game Pico's School which also suddenly got popular. This started a trend of Newground characters/mascots being added as mods to FNF including Tricky.
@tseliius
@tseliius 2 жыл бұрын
I’m actually pretty happy about this! Influential pop culture like Madness Combat, Pico’s School and Tankmen all deserve recognition for how nostalgic and revolutionary they are, and since FNF is popular and these friendly faces were added to the game as mods and official weeks of their own, their popularity has gone through the roof; It’s honestly how I discovered them all! It makes me really happy to see people enjoying content from early 2000s internet days thanks to FNF :)

@@sweetheartmashupsbabe Sometimes I go looking for the oldest creepy videos, like the Baby Swearing or "Ghost Girl in the Mirror", and sometimes they pop up. I was looking up Urban Legends videos some time ago, sorted by "Date", and down the list eventually found a weird H*ntai about the Japanese "8 Feet Tall" entity (Hachishakusama, I think the Romanized name is). It's like, ancient, uploaded 12 years ago or something. 1:22:40 I saw this episode when it aired and was not affected at all. What I do find most disturbing about the episode is Ahsoka killing a one clone trooper while saving all the others. What makes it even more out of place was in the series finale where her and Rex were escaping and they were trying not to kill ANY of the clones because they were all brainwashed. But yeah, she did kill a clone.

53:16 Actually this was a whole series, that video was just closer to the end. The series was, I think, the second official MLP creepypasta after pinkamena. Basically rarity ends us actually killing her cat Opel after finding out that she liked the feeling of her cat causing her harm. It was a tumbler ask thing and the whole story about about how Rarity has a huge masochist and obsessed with Pinkamena, to the point where she used her cats fur to make a plush of her and it's her most prized possession

to answer your question it's fucking miserable 💔 i'm turning 20 this month and i developed psychosis as a child that is still in tact to this day, from things like screamer videos and lost episode videos etc. for all the people who saw those things in childhood with neglectful parents or lack of finance, both stopping ability of professional therapy + mental treatment, it had to have fucked up more than just me. but then again i'm the only person in my life i've ever met who has this much trauma from screamer videos so 🧍‍♂️

Just a suggestion: Why not a gen z childhood trauma iceberg...but with books that left kids scared? It could've been the content, it could've been the book cover itself, or maybe the art within the book? If you were to make something like this, I suggest one of the entries being Animorphs, that book series where kids turned into animals! The old book covers tended to freak me out, but I still absolutely adore the content it brings.

You know, the Hypno's Lullaby one kinda reminds me of an old story I heard when I was little. It was originally a folklore story, but was eventually adapted and popularized by the brothers Grimm, the same ones who wrote the original versions of a lot of popular fairytales. The Dutch title of the story is 'De rattenvanger van Hamelen', which translates to 'The rat-catcher of Hamelen'. It's about a man who shows up in the German town Hamelen somewhere in the late 13th century, while the town is dealing with a bad rat infestation. The man claims to have a magic flute that, if he plays the right song, could lead all the rats away. The town promises to pay him if he kills all the rats, and the man does so, luring all the rats away and making them drown themselves in the nearby river the Wezer. The next day, there's still some rats left, so the man does it again. On the third day all the rats are gone, and the man asks for his payment. However, the town actually refuses to pay him, and the man gets angry. The next day, either while all the adults are at church or in the middle of the night when the adults are asleep, it depends on the version, the man plays a different song on his flute and lures all the town's children away instead. There's a couple different versions of the story's ending, in some the children are never found, in some there simply is no resolution, and in most of the more modern versions the children eventually manage to escape and go back to Hamelen, and the man ends up getting his money. I actually read the wikipedia article on it, and I'm pretty sure that there might be an English version out there somewhere, under the name Pied Piper

Gotta be honest, the weirdest things about these videos to me is the thought that the guy making it is feeling the same sort of nostalgia and having similar memories that I am about these entries. It's kinda weird to think that most of the time I spent on this website was watching people fairly far removed from me age-wise, and now the people making good content on it are around my age and from my generation. I think that spirit Halloween has really toned down over the years. I don't know if it's just me or if it was just that one store I went to when I was a kid but I remember when I was a kid I went to one and like it was very different from today's. It was much darker in the store and very loud, like I remember they were blasting music (if you can even call it that) I also remember it being so dark that it was very hard to see especially towards the back of the store. They also had tinted windows so you couldn't see inside. I remember I went to one when I was a kid and I never went back because the store clerk saw and knew that I was scared so she put on a creepy mask and sneak up behind me and my mom and scared us. I just recently went to one in San Antonio and it was completely different, it wasn't as cluttered and it was much more organized. It also was much brighter inside of the store and the music wasn't as loud. The staff were nice and friendly, and it was definitely toned down. Like the decorations weren't as hardcore as I remember. But I did remember seeing the one thing that scared me the most that they still sell to this day, and it's the evil babies. Out of all the things that scared me it was the evil babies that made me shit my pants.

I remember that one store (I don’t know if it was a Spirit store or not but it was some Halloween store) had a really neat animatronic where it was come creepy ghost girl and it was on like a track or something and it would move where the track went. It was a really neat concept and I’ve never seen it again since that time. And maybe it’s just because we were little and everything was scarier to us back then but the animatronics they have nowadays seem really cheap and poorly put together. although I did see one genuinely creepy animatronic recently, it was like a centipede girl with a gaping mouth full of teeth? (I didn’t really get a good look because I was shopping with children) however when I went to the same store another time, the animatronic had gone. Edit: I HATED THOSE CREEPY BABIES

@stupidvampir 2 жыл бұрын
@@gingerizard3262 but when I say that I think the decor has toned down, I mean that it is nowhere near as graphic as I remember cuz I remember specifically, VERY SPECIFICALLY, there was an animatronic that you would hang from the ceiling and it was a nurse with her arms and her legs cut off, it was extremely bloody and gory and over the top edgy. Like she had nails through her eyes and ugly boils all over her gray skin and blood coming out of her hoo-ha.

When I saw the trailer I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I didn’t have easy access to the internet so I kept asking people about the movie along side crappy drawings in hopes that someone would know more. Eventually I saw the trailer and begged my mom to take me of 9/9/09. She kept telling me I would be scared and hate it but I pet begging and even had to try and explain the movie as best I could before she agreed. I loved the movie and fully understood things like the dead bodies. It’s still my favorite movie to date and I still hold out hope that they might make something else in the franchise.

I remember my brother showed me the zombie bambi short on MAD when I was really young (I guess he thought it would be funny?) and it scared the crap out of me. I was scared to watch anything zombie related, even hearing the word “zombie” made me want to cry. Looking back, I could see how my brother thought that fear was a little funny.

I remember watching 9 and Coraline when I was really young, and I loved them! All the creepiness was lost on me because I was so immersed by the story.
