I had a cat growing up. She was born in 2002 on my uncles floor a year before I was born. She was almost one when I was born. We grew up together. She’d walk me to the bus and tried to follow me in it. She’d be waiting for me when I got off the bus and would even follow me around my neighborhood to make sure I was safe. She was the first friend j ever had. She’s still alive actually. She’s 20 she’ll be 21 this summer. She’s not the same energetic cat she used to be but in grateful she’s stuck around through everything. She watched my entire life and I’m so happy she did. She was the one thing in my life that was constant. Peiple don’t give their pets enough credit

this definitely brought up some lost memories! i loved flash games and virtual worlds as a kid, i miss those memories sorely. as for the last section, that was quite touching! i'm still in contact with one of my old school friends, and my childhood cat is still alive since she's only a few months younger than me, and i've just turned 15. one of my personal topics of nostalgia is the old youtube channel venturiantale, an old gaming channel consisting of 4 siblings going on adventures, most commonly in gmod. been rewatching their stuff and nearly crying since they were so important to me as a kid. well uh.. rant over! stay safe friends.

I also had a goldfish that I named Dorothy because of Elmo omg that’s insane Unfortunately she only lived for a day or so. I won her at a carnival when I was like, 3 years old and neither my parents nor my little toddler brain knew how to properly take care of a fish, and I guess we did something wrong right off the bat because we lost her very quickly. I remember I went to go see her one morning and being very confused as to why she was floating at the top of the tank like that. I don’t think I understood the concept of death yet :(( later that day my mom put Dorothy in a plastic bag, and we took a walk to the park we grew up near and dumped her into the pond. I actually had a conversation about this with my mom recently, and she said we went to the park because she thought me watching the fish get flushed down the toilet would traumatize me. I’m happy to say I’m much better at dealing with aquatic animals now. I currently have an axolotl who has been my pet for two and a half years. Her name is Mochi and she’s a great friend

My childhood pet was a tabby cat named Buster. I got him when I was two years old and he was my best friend for 13 years. He unfortunately developed cancer in his intestines and I had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him down. I held him as he spent his final moments and ended up getting him cremated. I have a little necklace that I wear everywhere that has some of his ashes in it. I'll never forget my buddy ❤️

I'm really happy to see a few nostalgic commercials mentioned on this iceberg. Some are actually really important to me. Not many who know me know this, but one of my favorite hobbies is watching nostalgic commercial compilations from the 2000s/2010s. When I'm having a bad day, or when my anxieties get to me, I'll put them on and they really help me relax, distract myself and find a little shred of happiness as I sit or lie down and think back to when I first watched them on TV all those years ago. Right now, I am not well mentally, and taking a nostalgia trip through some classic commercials from my childhood really help when I need something to escape to for an hour or so. Its kind of embarrassing for me to admit, which is why not many people who know me know about this, as I'm sure to other people watching commercials for hours on end sounds really weird, but I woundn't give it up for anything.

I had a pet rat named Bruce Banner (little me liked the hulk lol) he was such a sweet little dude and I would put him in a toy car that had Diego (Dora’s cousin) in it. He also would hide inside the couch sometimes. Little me decided to get a grey and shiny highlighter and painted his tail with it for some reason so he had this like glowy, sparkly tail. He was a good pet and a good friend and he lived for around maybe 4 years or something? He’s still buried at my old house and I sometimes think of the little guy. Miss ya Bruce❤

1:56:35 hits hard for me at the moment. I lost my childhood dog a couple of months ago. She was 16 years old. I was 7 when she came home and I barely remember the dogs we had before her. She was my best friend and I was her favorite human. I taught her how to sit, I taught her her name, I fed her every night. Baby Einstein (1:06:33 - 1:07:03) is the one piece of Gen Z nostalgia that hit me the hardest the most because I consider to be the heart of my childhood days that I grew up with and I always keep in my heart to this day.

I remember as a kid watching Courage the Cowardly Dog on the TV I had in my bedroom. One time the TV cut off and when I turned it back on it was just snow/white static. I recall chilling on a beanbag for a bit just kinda staring at the screen as the static played on the screen and through the speakers. After staring at the TV for a little it eventually fell off the table it was on. And not like fell off as if it was on the ledge or something, no, it was pushed back quite far to ensure that wouldn’t happen. Instead it more or less got pushed off the large table from behind and I remember that freaking me out as a kid. I’m pretty sure it helped contributed to my belief in the supernatural as a kid and I still believe in it to this day.

I'm a part of gen z, and let me tell you, this is practically all correct. Everything in this video is nostalgic to me (and our gen)

Its crazy how much our childhood can define us. It took me a while to realise that one of the first few games I ever remember was soul caliber and especially mortal kombat. Now looking at the esthetic of mortal kombat it can be argued a lot of it is metal inspired, like a soul tornado. Now one of my favourite game series and favourite fighting game is guilty gear, a game where metal is core to the series. So as you can see the smallest things like a childhood game can effects so many future taste. I'm also Surpise mk chronicles I think its called wasn't mentioned since I remember me and my brother going on KZbin using out neighbor's Wi-Fi and watching the one with cyrax and sektor since we played both of those characters and when we saw that episode we thought it was the coolest thing and that experience sticks as almost a core memory
