Hey Boomer, I’m with you on the father issue. My dad is a narcissist and he honestly believes my mother did nothing but provided him with 8 additional tax deductions, always had a clean house, laundry done and meals on the table by 5:30. She is the most depressed person I know.

My grandson is in college from childhood he always loved dinosaurs I knew he would be an archaeologist but he surprised me going for AI, I told him the market is getting flooded with kids doing that so he needed to stand out he decided on First Nations studies. Well this weekend he told me though he is an A student in AI he is switching to archeology with a whole bunch of offshoots to stand out he listens to his granny. He was afraid to tell me about the switch but I was thrilled I told him I knew from the time he was a baby this was his thing everyone is happy

We had reality tv in our time My Three Sons and Leave it to Beaver they were supposed to be the ideal family that didn’t freaking exist when people talk about going back to the fifty’s this is the reality in their head it wasn’t true it was fictional , then later it was Happy Days the one that was closer to life was Good Times it was closer to real life it’s been one thing after another over time to make people think there is some perfect family out there to emulate
