Took my wife to see Sir Tom Jones approx ten years ago. Time has changed him slightly, he looks older, but was still handsome, he had to adjust for his voice changing with age. There was something that had not changed, most of the women at the theatre fell in love with him on the spot. He oozes sex appeal, and is one of the most talented singers ever heard.

It’s nice to see young people appreciate music from that era. Tom was and still is a huge star mainly due to his powerful voice and his easy going personality when he hosted his show in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I remember watching his show weekly and there were not many guests that were on the same level as him vocally except one. When he had Wilson Pickett on and they did a medley of songs together you could see Tom was just in awe of Pickett’s voice and it was a proud moment for Tom to host him. Tom became friends with Elvis later although Elvis by then had stopped touring and did only Vegas a couple times a year if that. PS: listen to Wilson Pickett’s version of Hey Jude and you will be in awe also.

He is a judge on the UK version of 'The Voice' and he is over 80 and still sounds much the same. Lonnie Donegan, a singer in his own right, wrote this song and Tom sang it with Lonnie's son on 'The Voice'. He is from Wales and another great singer from Wales is Shirley Bassey who sang 3 James Bond themes which you should listen to, i.e. 'Goldfinger' and 'Diamonds Are Forever'.

The song was written by a guy called Lonnie Donnegan for Tom , who sang it and it was also covered by Elvis . Several years back on " The Voice Uk" , Tom was the only judge to turn for one particular singer , the young lad was the son of the late Lonnie Donnegan . After telling the judges he was Lonnie Donnegans son a rather emotional Tom asked if he knew the song his late father had written for him and asked if " They could do the song together " , very emotional , but what a voice he still has

That is not true ,my friend but an Urban myth. Tom MADE IT his song but this was Co-Written by Lonnie in 1961:) At that time,Sir Tom was Tom Woodward in The Tommy Scott Orchestra in Wales and was known outside that area until 1963/64 when he started his long range of great records and hits. I spoke on You Tune to Peter, his son, who confirmed he went along with that narrative when a contestant himself on The Voice and dueted with Tom:)

Here's a couple of fun facts girls..😊 Toms biggest fan was ELVIS of all people 😂 when Tom started performing in Las Vegas Elvis was dragging a very young Priscilla along to see him, front row of course 😂 Tom and Elvis became good friends, so Elvis went from fan, to mate, to actually paranoid because he thought Priscilla fancied Tom (which she probably did 😅) Tom was definitely a man's man..drank pints, loved rugby and probably has the worlds largest collection of women's knickers considering how many pairs got thrown at him on stage 🤣🤣🤣

All Tom Jones' songs are classics. But one was aired repeatedly in the 1980s I guess. It is "Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow." Try that girls.

Tom is 83 and just released a new album. He and his wife got married at 15 and I don’t know whose parents thought that was a great idea. His son looks older than he does but he remained married until his wife died. He is great friends with Australia’s John Farnham and they have toured together. The first time they sang together was on Hey Hey it’s Saturday on TV and neither were there to sing. John went all fan but his voice is amazing too. They sang a short version of My Yiddishe Momma and that song is beautiful. It was funny and wonderful. They later sang it together in full on an awards show. John Farnham is 74 and called the Voice for a very good reason. So far they have found 13 different genres of music that he sings naturally including Opera and that one surprised me. So he and Tom work really well together. I grew up listening to their music. If you want to hear John on his own alway choose live. Try his version of Help, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The Beatles wrote and recorded it but John fixed it. Even John Lennon told him that. Tom Jones and John Farnham are two very nice men and both are very gifted. Thank you.

His wife was pregnant. Back then you got married if that happened. Especially in a valley town in Wales.Birth control wasn't that great back then. The contraceptive pill hadn't been invented then.

The song you may be thinking of is called KISS, it was originally performed by PRINCE.

It was Elvis who nick named Tom the voice, so Tom's show The Voice seems like a sort of tribute to Elvis as they were friends.
