Tom is..THE VOICE! Omg I grew up listening to him... my mom had his albums, and others of course. This song tho.. the 3rd time he sings ill never fall in love, you miss the subtle little " gasp" he makes with the words...and the angst of losing his love. Listen again.. you will hear it.. just before the end. Like his heart has been torn 💔 out.

On his 60s tv show, he sang with most of the greatest artists and made it look so easy. He is a master of lyrics, inflection, emotion, nuance, perfect pitch....I could go on and on. @Rob Squad Reactions @Joseph Humann ...Amber, Tom Jones is not a crooner primarily, but he can croon when he wants to. Listen to his delivery on the old standard "Autumn Leaves" in 1965... with his voice all soft, smoky, and wistful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX-0pYiCbd1glZo Tom can do just about every style, every genre. He could have gone into opera, but he didn't want to be limited. His roots are in R&B, Gospel, Soul, and Rock & Roll, but he is fearless. Check out "If I Only Knew" for Tom's foray into some rap in 1994: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3TLhJmjpaeJack Another performance to hear is one he did in the French Quarter in New Orleans in 2011 for a TV special with Hugh Laurie. Hugh played the piano, there was a small band and some backup singers in this small venue, and Tom sang "Baby, Please Make A Change": kzbin.info/www/bejne/nH62qXmZos6BfcU Plus, don't miss Tom's impromptu 2021 performance of "Cry To Me" on The Voice UK where he's a judge and coach. "The Green Green Grass of Home" would bring tears to your eyes. Tom Jones was indeed very big. And it's worth considering that perhaps singers at the time were possibly better than some singers now because they had to rely on their own voices and charisma to pull off a performance. They worked harder and couldn't fall back on lip-syncing, autotune, backup dancers, pyrotechnics or other distractions. They could be alone on stage and mesmerize audiences. Bob Dylan performing at the Royal Albert in London from the film "Don't Look Back" had that gift. Not such a classic voice, but so compelling.

That moment hits at different times for different people. I've watched countless reactions to Sir Tom over the past 2 years and in every one of those videos, you can clearly see it happen when it does hit them. For example here in this reaction, at the 3:06 mark, you can see on Amber's lovely face when Tom's voice makes her swoon, again like every other female on Earth past, present, & future... If you watch some of Tom's previous concerts from the 60's & 70's, you'll see the front of the stage covered with ladies panties, bras, and hotel room keys that the audience had tossed to him - LOL! I remember being a little kid & thinking "what is wrong with these women? Ew, why are they throwing their underwear at him? How gross, they're all crazy!" Now I get it!

LOVE Tom Jones voice, but always felt like you'd catch something from him once his image changed to the open shirts, big crosses and he played up the sexuality so much. (That came after this classy era). He is LEGEND though! And love to see reaction. to Delilah and Green Green Grass of Home.

The pride of the Welsh valleys, Tom Jones' first big break came when he was asked to sing a guide vocal on a song destined for English popstar Sandie Shaw. On hearing the track, Shaw immediately knew a star was born. That tune (with Tom on vocals) was 'It's Not Unusual' - a colossal domestic hit that put him on the map overnight. Still active in his 80's, he can give modern vocalists a run for their money!

Definitely Delilah. I'm from Wales, maybe half hour drive from Sir Tom Jones' birthplace. It was a big thing when we held mini Eisteddfod's for St. Davids day at school; lot's of singing, dancing awards in specific subjects etc. Then one year the school decided to try and ban us singing Delilah (back in early 2000's for whatever reason). They refused to play it so some of the school orchestra kids played it anyway and we all sang along. They kept trying until I left school becase 'it was inappropriate' but we always found a way.

Tom is from Wales, and the Welsh are famous for their beautiful singing. He certainly proves that theory. The other thing about Tom that I think is interesting is that his voice is very little changed from when he hit the scene in the mid 60s, to where he is now in the year 2021. In that he is very like Steve Tyler who sounds the same today as when he began his career.

Now you understand why he was such a heart throb of that time. He's still alive and a judge on The Voice. He still sings really well. Not opera (I'm a singing teacher) but a super great singer. He was one of the biggest!!

Your reaction to Tom Jones is priceless! He is a legend, he was around when Elvis was here. Those two were my mom's idols. Thank you so much for that honest reaction.

His voice is perfect. And it's sung live. Every woman loved him. Still do! He's still around and still sounds great.

One of my favorite songs. The dude that wrote this song for him back in the day had a son. The son appeared in The Voice and they sang it together impromptu and was awesome.
