My all-time favorite Yard episodes are all like this one where you can describe the episode as *“this is the one where they ___”* , like ranking every guy, refraining from being uncouth, voting on tattoo art, waxing Slime’s holes, switching chairs, or even that one where everyone gave their own POV of what happened at a party. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that every time a Yard episode has a lightning rod to channel their collective creativity, it ends up being a banger. That’s not to say that I dislike the normal episodes, nor would I want every episode to be themed, but I personally think it would be awesome if they were a regular part of the menu.

I don't think that's necessarily true. It's just when they come up with a really good concept and see it through, there's a high chance of it becoming a very special episode. However, I generally prefer when all four are there. But it's a question of personal taste in any case.

Nick is always cooking with something really funny or it's really funny to him and I respect it. I feel like Slime and Aiden are good with impromptu storytelling and just improv in general, to which, Nick and Ludwig are no slouches either. But there's something about Slime or Aiden monologuing while fighting for control against one another that is just so fucking entertaining here. And the primary vehicle for this is Nick, he feels like a comedy Batman, like give him prep time and he's bound to cook. I'd love to see what other concepts might be brewing around up there. Though if this stays a rarer thing, that's also fine.
