Gen1 Ford Raptor - Drag Racing 1/4 mile

Took the 2013 SVT Raptor to Thursday night Test n’ Tune at Bradenton Motorsports Park. This was my first time ever drag racing on an official 1/4 mile race track and it was a blast. I have a lot of room for improvement to reach a faster time and top speed. I’m currently running Roush catback exhaust, Roush cold air intake, and a pedal commander. For the races, I set the pedal commander all the way up to the highest setting Sport+ 4. I turned traction control off. One thing we didn’t think about until afterwards was that I can engage my electronic locking rear differential in 2H / 2WD. If I lock my rear end and get better at loading the torque converter by brake boosting the throttle for a better launch, I think I can run a solid 15 flat at least. Not bad for a 6500lb truck.
The first pass was 15.5 seconds 89mph.
The second pass was 15.7 seconds 88mph.

Beautiful sound! I wish there were modifications for my pickup but there’s nothing at the moment. Not even an exhaust system 😅 When a I went to the track Only did like 4 runs in 3 hours. It’s was kinda full like yours.

Great video! Also, thanks for the technical details! How did you turn traction control off? One click or long press? How "sticky" is the strip compared to asphalt? Do the tires still spin?

One click turns traction control off. It will pop up on the dash with a message. The track was very sticky, my tires did not spin at all. Thanks for watching!
