It is difficult for humans to break up emotionally and let the animal to go. The owl has wings, she life role is to fly, to have freedom. Side note from a long time forest dweller: Even with a little camp "stove" like the one used in this vid, clear the area you are using it on first before starting your fire. There was a lot of dead leaf and debris directly underneath, and its just always a good idea to try and be safer when out in nature. PE@CE ^~^

🇦🇺 lovely video and your owl is beautiful. But your campfire 🔥 gave me a panic attack! I had to flee my home last year because of the worst bushfires my region of 🇦🇺 has ever seen, flames leaping 50 meters high and a burning gale straight from the open doors of hell! More than thirty people and billions of animals died. Please be much more careful, campfires can and do start bushfires. My home survived, my peace of mind as summer heat approaches is a bit more fragile!

Had one when I was a child. He had fallen after being chased. I kept him in the old chicken coop. We had a comport like full of worms. He got them at night. He got older and left after mating. Showed up every now and then. Then died. Beautiful
