gen5 whipple install on a 03/04 cobra mustang

Gen 5 whipple install going on my 2003 saleen mustang , we are trying our best to get this thing running and to the track! I should be ready to start the car up tomorrow !

Does the pulley on that 3.0 sit lower than the 3.4 or higher?

A very very minimal amount lower.

So is this blower shorter in length than the Gen 4 2.9? Is that why there's so much clearance between the blower and the firewall even with the crusher inlet? 🤔

I don’t have a gen4 2.9 to compare , the inlet is different and that could be the reason for the room vs the gen4 crusher. I want to say the rotors are shorter vs the 2.9 but wider. If you would like I can measure my 3.0 so you can compare

Ok so, Sorry I’m new to the cobra scene. I just bought an 03 cobra I always wanted, but unfortunately don’t know about upgrading. I’m looking to get one of these gen 5’s by next month and was wondering what else I need for it. I’m stock basically except For down pipes and a base tune. I checked all over SVTPERFORMANCE but takes hrs to find anything helpful. Much Appreciate a list. @Wilsonandcars

I believe you asked on one of my other gen 5 videos , I made a list of things I would do. The important stuff is you will need a fuel system , injectors. Get with DNAhyperformance >> tdavis_svt on Instagram he is a sales rep and he can get you squared away. Or if you choose lethal just call them and they can get you setup.

Some have had good luck doing it and others say they slightly rub the hood.
