Watch Jordan Peterson's "Vision & Destiny" on DW+ bit.ly/3KrWbS8
Peterson draws upon his extensive research and relatable real-life experiences to illustrate how to develop attainable goals for intimate relationships, meaningful friendships, and your career. Transform the chaotic potential of the future into actuality - with a vision.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and Miriam Grossman discuss the grief and trauma associated with the Transgender movement, not just for those transitioning, but for the parents and families who now find themselves shunned and alienated if they refuse to affirm their own child's delusion. They also go into detail on the history of the ideology, the monstrosity of Dr. John Money, and his horrendous failed experiment on which he built his doctrines.
Miriam Grossman MD is a physician, author, and public speaker. Before gender ideology was on anyone’s radar, she warned parents about its dangers in her 2009 book, “You’re Teaching My Child WHAT?” Dr. Grossman has been vocal for many years about the capture of her profession by ideologues, leading to dangerous and experimental treatments on children and betrayal of parents. Dr. Grossman was featured in the Daily Wire’s hit documentary “What Is A Woman?” The author of four books, her work has been translated into eleven languages. After graduating with honors from Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Grossman attended New York University Medical School. She completed an internship in pediatrics at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City, and a residency in psychiatry through Cornell University Medical College, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Grossman is board certified in psychiatry and in the sub-specialty of child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: bit.ly/3KrWbS8

My child thought she was trans. I am afraid to speak about it. Our long term pediatrician told her we were why she was depressed. Her parents. Because we wouldn't accept her new identity. She referred her to a gender clinic. We could not find an appropriate therapist . We didn't go. We took some drastic measures. I was afraid the school or our pediatrician would report us to CPS for not affirming. 1.5 years later and she cringes to remember it. She is not trans. She is happy. We were completely alone and it was terrifying.

Thank God!! I just heard another interview that in order to save their daughter a family moved to a new area (new friends) and changed schools, took away the phone, and put out books/podcasts about this Trans lunacy for their child to see/hear/consider. The daughter & family recovered and their relationship is loving after tension for a few years as well. I pray to God this cultural cult is broken down ASAP.

Stories like yours are 100% why the narrative of transition without hesitation is outright evil. Kids could be going through a phase, peer pressured or have a domineering parent that tricks them into ruining their lives when there needs to be significant and comprehensive psychological treatment first. It could be said the doctors, psychologists, activists and politicians want this - forcing kids into life changing treatments when all they are is confused, gay or autistic/Asperger's. This is beyond evil and people need to wake up

My child was outgoing, friendly, and laughed a lot. Over time, he changed. He got quit, withdrawn. I asked, and he didn't say a thing. It got so bad I sat him down and told him he could tell me anything. I won’t be mad. He said he was being told he was a girl, and they called him by a girls name. I went to the principals office, and she basically blew it off. I sued the principal, the teacher, and the school board. I sued separately on purpose. I won. It went all the way to the state Supreme Court, and my decision was upheld. I got three payments and my attorney fees and court costs. I also made sure therapy sessions were covered. It can be done. The teacher was fired. The principal was fired, and the woke members of the school board were replaced. My child is still in therapy, but he's doing better. I left a lot out and put a little bit of a story in so I don’t get sued, as the records are sealed. And juveniles names are redacted anyway for their privacy. But there was an agreement between the parties neither would talk about it. It is my opinion that people need to know it can be done.

I wish I had known you when my now 22-year old child became a trans-male at age 16. Our family life has been destroyed & the heartbreak I have experienced is incalculable because it polarized my family. I not only lost my daughter; I lost a close-knit, loving family too. Now everyone is confused & I have been estranged from my only child & have not had healthy relationships within my immediate family for eight years (I was divorced long before all this happened) and I am on antidepressants. My current, solitary retirement is not quite what I had envisioned it might be in my younger/ "other" life.

I'm a 28 year old girl. So glad this stuff wasn't big 10 years ago when I was in school. I had a very very difficult childhood. I am also a textbook introvert. I've been weird and depressed my whole life. I mostly like boys stuff, mostly hang out with boys, work boy jobs. Girls barley even make sense to me, even though I am one. I accept myself as the weirdo that I am and my life is so good today because of that. I am in a very healthy and loving relationship with a man which I wouldn't give up for anything. I cannot even begin to imagine the damage this gender ideology cult could have done to me if I found it in high school. Thank you for speaking out so much about this.

I often can't relate to women either. I have no friends as a result. Men get along with me just fine but their wives don't like me so I don't keep these friends for very long. I've never been "more than friends" with male friends. I'm married. Their married. I totally respect that and despite keeping all friendships in the public realm, their wives eventually put the kibosh on it. I laugh because I've never even been alone with a male friend. You'd think their wives, who I also tried to be friends with but would get rejected by them, would appreciate my solid boundaries and efforts to avoid anything that could be misconstrued. At my age now, i give up. It's not worth it. I accept that it's a rare woman who will like me and wives don't want their husbands having a female friend. I'm probably too stubborn to have ever been Trans but ya never know. I didn't get raised in that social climate. I'm glad for it regardless.

Thank you for talking about this. My 12 year old sister learned about gender ideology online and a 40 year old person wearing a fox suit convinced her that she’s nonbinary and even gave her a new name. She was so confused that she felt suicidal and had to stay in a mental hospital for a week. She socially transitioned at school months before my family found out about it because the school didn’t tell us. She is currently in therapy but the therapist is just affirming her gender confusion and my parents and other sister agree with the affirmation. My sister has been failed by the internet, my parents, the school, the hospital, and the therapist. I am so disgusted with the people who confused her to the point of wanting to die she is only 12 years old. 💔

I am using a fake KZbin name because this isn’t business I want anyone I know in real life to know about and because I will be attacked for worrying about my sister. I have already been attacked by my 18 year old sister because I acknowledge the fact that this gender ideology was pushed onto my 12 year old sister. This gender ideology has ruined my family and I am currently estranged from them.

Thank you for your work in this area. I watched my happy, feminine 16 year old be groomed and confused by teachers at her high school, DERANGED social media personalities (I discovered this later) and a few friends and she is now lost LOST at 19 in the depths of the cult and barely has any contact with her parents, her siblings, her extended family...and she BELIEVES this is who she always was. The lies, the gaslighting, the extreme cult like behavior is shocking. Once I really realized what was happening when she was around 17 I did everything I could think of, but the ideology she was spoonfed was so deeply rooted that all of my attempts made it more likely she would never contact me again. I've had to step back and hope for the best. I hope everyone pushing this rots.

Ten years ago, my second oldest daughter was in a summer intern program at Johns Hopkins. She was 15 years of age. After her stint, she came to me and said it was the weirdest experience she had ever had with her young peers. She said that there were several children who claimed they were "non-binary", or claimed to be boys one day and girls the next day. Or who slept with girls and then with boys, since they were "gender confused". One boy asked my daughter "what gender do you think I am?" My daughter said "do you have a penis?" He replied in the affirmative. My daughter looked at him and said "Then...you are a boy". To her, all of this was nonsense and she was mystified as to what the heck was wrong with all of these obviously intelligent children (invitation only internship, 20 students from the whole USA) whose parents were all elites in their fields. I told her that they appeared to be irrational and non-logical thinkers. She's finishing her PhD in a STEM field now.

Same here! I’m 27 and I wear mens t shirts and tank tops with leggings or womens pants. I wear womens shirts as well but not as often. I’ve only been seen in a dress a few times. When I was little I’d play with dinosaurs instead of Barbie dolls. I played in mud and loved bugs and still do. I don’t wear makeup and rarely do my hair. I never had a good friendship with other women because I don’t fit in with them I’m not even sure if that’s the issue. Theyd always backstab me somehow though. But all this has never made me feel like I was a different gender. I’m a woman and I’m just being myself. I don’t even consider myself as a tomboy. If I was still in school in these days I’m sure I’d be pushed to believe I was a boy and that’s really terrifying to think about. Women can wear mens clothes, not wear makeup,or not have a girly personality. It’s okay! It doesn’t mean we were born the wrong gender. That’s impossible in my opinion. I believe sex changes should only be for those that are actually born with both genders. They are the ones that truly need it. This trans thing is being pushed on children like it’s some kind of trend. It’s truly sickening and shameful! All these children and teenagers being butchered will soon realize in the future they made the biggest mistake. Their body’s will be ruined and familys broken. It’s already happening more and more everyday and it’s heartbreaking. The system is so corrupted and evil!

My daughter told me she was trans a year ago at age 15. To say that I have experienced trauma as a parent is a huge understatement, and yet NO ONE addresses this aspect. I have taken the stance that real compassion doesn’t come from simply giving in to the trans ideology, but rather helping the child navigate the feelings they’re having but not taking any steps toward transitioning. I truly believe that my daughter has no clue what she is choosing in terms of this gender agenda. I have sleepless nights, vacuous days occasionally where I just want to give up, and SOOOOO many instances of feeling alone and unseen or unheard. I wish this aspect of parenting a “trans” child was addressed more thoroughly!!!! Listening to this video was the first time I EVER felt seen as a parent dealing with this issue. I have often said that if I survive this stage of parenting it will be nothing short of a miracle. As a side note, I withdrew my daughter from public school this year (she was being bullied and it went unaddressed, but certain teachers were also pushing the gender ideology and I didn’t agree with that.) it was the most difficult and yet probably the best decision I think I ever made in regard to removing my child from a toxic environment. She will be getting her GED soon and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but her father and I have been so relieved to not have her in the school system.

Puberty is a very difficult time for children, especially girls I think. I hated hearing people tell me it was time I got a bra. When my mother took me to get one, I hated the way it felt. When I first got my period, I hated it. My mother congratulated me but I was miserable since the cramps were so bad, I cried and called it "the curse". After a while I got used to it all and learned how to deal with menstrual discomfort. Since then I have never stopped thanking God for making me female. I've never had a child but that is not the only thing that makes one a woman. I am now 70 years old and no longer menstruate. I had breast cancer but had a lumpectomy and now I am fine. And I still love being a woman.

My stepdaughter started to go down this path during Covid. They made these kids scared to go outside and socialize, and their whole personality was brought to them by TikTok. She would shop in the boy section for clothes and also had a not-so-secret girlfriend. 3 years later, she’s girly as can be and has a not-so-secret boyfriend. As soon as we got her into sports and out of the house and off her phone, she snapped back to herself. That’s how it should be for all kids. Instead, they’re being sterilized and mutilated and medicalized with no way out.

I am a 45 year old heterosexual female. When I was about 6-7, I went through a phase where I wanted to be called boy names. I was/am a tomboy and it made sense to me at the time that I had a boy name. My parents played along when they remembered and after a week or so, I was past that phase. I was never very feminine in that I have always been a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal, loved playing in the woods, motorcycles, fishing, etc. and and I’ve always gotten along much better with males. But, I’ve never questioned my sexuality or gender. I have an incredibly healthy relationship with my children and with my husband and I am so thankful that this madness wasn’t a thing when I was a kid or I’m sure I would have gotten dragged to some sort of “gender affirming care” and my life would have been destroyed.

@Pav: A couple of sessions with a 'gender-affirming' counsellor can now give the go ahead for dangerous hormones on the way to butchery for young people whose executive brain function is far from adult. They are not informed about the real consequences but are fed dishonest claims about research suggesting they will be happier and less suicidal (which they may well be for a euphoric while). Parents may even not be informed under the guise of patient confidentiality. The counsellors are often people who have 'transitioned' themselves and lack awareness of how their assessments are colored by their own need for reassurance about the radical choices they made. 'Transitioning' is always pretense. No matter how convincing the transitioned person looks and behaves their hormonal and surgical changes can only ever be cosmetic while the vast majority of their body and brain characteristics remain consistent with their birth sex. Perhaps one day genetic engineering could change that, but that may not be realistic because by the time someone thinks they might be 'in the wrong body', indeed by the time a pre-school child appears to show opposite-sex behaviour and even by the time of birth, that body has already developed according to its existing genetic basis.

Although, I sure see plenty of the older ones easily going along too. Some people, like the fem teen boy, and other "trans" people I talked to the other day are all gung ho, and happy, so they just can't see the dark underbelly of what is going on. Unfortunately, many parents can't either. You are way ahead of the game, more than they are if that makes you feel any better. Stay close, as in emotionally close to your child. That will help if they feel they trust you enough if something is going on with them, and can talk to you. Good values, morals, etc. Look at it this way. It could be much worse. My husband’s father was most likely bipolar. Our 20 year old daughter is diagnosed bipolar. There is depression in both of our families. Our 16 year old daughter has been hospitalized 5 times in 2 and a half years due to self harm because “she is a boy in a girl’s body”. And since I haven’t followed the doctor’s suggestions of taking “him” to a gender clinic or calling “him” by the “correct” pronoun, it will be my fault if “he” dies. Or so I’m told. We need to stop telling these kids that transitioning or dying are their only options.

As an adoptee I was glad to learn the phrase "disenfranchised grief". In my 56 years I'd never heard that phrase. For me, my birth parents might as well have been dead, but no one recognized (including me) my grief at their loss. NO one acknowledged my loss. Instead they said "aren't you grateful you have 2 parents who love you". The same is going on here. The parents have lost their child. The child is now in the hands of social media, and the medical community, including the pharmaceutical industry. Their child is now part of an experiment. And they are left to wonder, what did they do wrong raising their child.

My sister has been affected by this culture as well. In her early 20s, she announced to the family that she identified as non binary. I still have no idea what to make of it. She kicked my father and I to the curb about 5 years ago, so there's really nothing I can do. Last I heard, she's been taking blockers and testosterone and had her breasts removed. She was never tomboyish or masculine in any way when we were small. She and my other sister always had pink and purple beds, barbies, etc... The one practical reason I can give for this shift in her perspective is that she's always been easily influenced by others. It breaks my heart that she'll probably never understand that she's been manipulated by the cultural zeitgeist, and even if she does, it's already too late to return to normal life. I love you, Claire. I hope one day you can accept yourself the way you are and embrace the name our parents gave you. EDIT: There's a big difference between facts/evidence, and conjecture/assumption. Write about how I knew I was a man. (Cause I have a dick and balls?) I'm 56. Not quite a boomer but close. Really? I need to write about this stuff? Cis wasn't even in the lexicon at that point. Not a word anybody knew of anyway. Where we have come from there is astonishing. I've NEVER been good a math. With enough tutoring, anyone should be able to pass algebra. I know I've done it 3 times. Calculus...uhm...point being in college I couldn't get enough math tutoring. There wasn't ever enough time to read everything professors put on the syllabus, never mind what I wanted to read as well. This is really what we are going to mandate for students? I BS'd my way through the gender shit then, did as little as possible. Without writing "I like my balls. What you do with yours is your problem". Then I got myself over to the math lab. I can't imagine what it's like for the "Gender Class 001" today. JFC.

It is disconcerting how the "professors" never questioned any of his theories. I get early psychology was the wild west. We don't take what alot of early psychologists did as doctrine today so why John Money? The field is littered with an overexess of empathy out of a need for overcorrection of our past sins.

I also want to point out some disturbing facts about John Money. In pursuit of his gender studies legacy, he perform sex changes on children (infamous case of two twins, look up David Reimer), had children carry out sexual acts with each other AND photographed them while doing so as well as supporting pedophilic relations, such as a child above the age of 10 having an erotic attraction towards an adult. He believed they should be allowed to engage in a sexual relationship. Not really the type of individual you want writing the rule book on gender.

I remember when I was 5 or 6, I told my mom I wanted to be a boy. She asked me why. I told her I liked playing with the old cars and climbing trees just like my brother. She gave me the best advise, she said I could do anything my brother did , but I was a girl and that's the wat it is. I am glad I was raised during a time when parents had common sense and would tell the truth. Times have changed so dangerously that parents sometimes are now afraid to tell their children the truth.

Several years ago after my daughter's divorce, she decided to have a big New Years Eve party. I brought a ton of fireworks. My two grandsons had the time of their lives setting off bottle rockets and supermarket odds and ends. After it was all over I was sitting by the firepit with a little girl who was twirling a burning stick around. I have two daughters and two granddaughters and they never, ever played with fire, so I took an interest in this little girl and advised her how to be safe. Fast forward a couple of years and that little girl is now presenting as a young boy and a very good one at that... but his family is not without turmoil and I just wish that she had asked me that New Years Eve if she could set off some fireworks too.

Sure we were kind of tomboyish but it was important IMO and we never considered the things we did to not be for girls. I'm sorry but I feel in some way or another this lands on the parents. As a clinician, I am also traumatized by what my profession has done to blindly accept the claims of gender theory. We need to organize as clinicians and reclaim the sound theoretical frameworks that respect process and human development, and that do not promote medical sex change interventions to kids under the age 18. One better, under the age of 26. Additionally, I think with the now high number of detransitioners, it is important to do research around ACES or other premature exposures that led to gender dysphoria, but also, to qualify the detransitioners' points of realization that they made a regrettable mistake.

I have a family member with a daughter who has decided she is trans. Her mother has always used the children (daughters) in ways which express her ever-changing progressive obsessions, such as barefootedness in winter, wearing "poverty" clothing (when they could afford new clothes), food fads, etc. It was essentially child abuse masquerading as progressive social awareness. My belief is that the narcissism of the mother has led the children to understand that they have no value of themselves, but only insofar as they act as signifiers of the mother's wokeness. By "transitioning", the teenage girl achieves two things- she has an outlet (as a "male") to be rebellious and assertive (instead of perpetually suppressed by the mother), and at the same time receives the mother's attention by epitomizing wokeness in her trans identity. Needless to say, the (divorced) father is grief stricken and lives in permanent fear of being reported by the mother for one or another "transphobic" crimes.

As for grief, that is the first thing my heart felt when my 6th grade daughter told me(in letter form) that she was transgender and felt she was a boy. THANK GOD she is now a junior in high school living in reality of who she is, I got lucky. At the time this was happening, all I could do was take a small step back and see where this was going to go. I watched her chop her hair off, join the school LGBQ+ clubs, and try discussing hormones and surgery with me. I put my foot down on ANYTHING permanent until she was of age. Which she actually did agree, This was just before they started to threaten DCYF on the parents, but it was being spoken about. Wouldn't have matter to me anyway, I would have fought them till my death. All that is besides the point...the poor parents of these children that fall completely into this evil agender. I know for myself to hear this from my daughter. I was immediately grief stricken. I felt I had literally lost my daughter. Only daughter. Could not see it as gaining a son, only an imposter hijacking this beautiful, precious soul, who is in no way shape or form at any level of growth or maturity to decide to make such life changing actions. These thoughts should be the furthist thing away from what should be going on in these kids' heads. I feel so horrible for these family's, our society and the humane race. In all our so-called evolution, this is where we are today?? How has this become the case? So there may be some anomalies, it's certainly not the norm. There is gonna be some major blowback when these kids are grown and realize what the hell happened to them, and wonder where all the adults were. I hope they can forgive the parents because they got trapped. Kinda seems like whatever side of the fence you stand, you'll end up losing your kids. If you stand against them transitioning, you'll be demonized by the school, state, nation, and medical "professionals,"not to mention by your child. If you do go along with gang, good chance your child is going to wonder why you allowed and went along with the slaughter. The worse part of this is how its gaining momentum..day by day. There is so much more in this life that we should be doing. This not progress, why are so many people supporting this agenda? I could go on and on, and I am just a barley high school educated very average, down to earth proud and loving mom. It's not hard to see the light. Please let's all wake up from this nightmare

Go into the conversation from her side is what I would say. When someone is indoctrinated into an extremist harmful ideology, be it extreme religion practices, extreme social or conservative ideologies, the worst you can do (from my small, personal experience at least) is go into the conversation head on since it makes them feel rejected and they will shut themselves from you. When you find the chance, explore the topic together. She might bring the positives that attract her to this specific thing, and you can be the one that raises concerns and questions, while also zoning in on what it is that makes her feel interested in this. If you go into the topic with interest and raise concerns and questions without being judgmental, I think you have the best chance of opening up dialogue that can lead into showing these kind of videos as well. Now of course Mr. Peterson might have a pretty negative name in her eyes. So I'd avoid shooting these videos directly at first. But you can most definitely take information from here and funnel it through in the form of questions, or things you read and found interesting to consider. I dont think there's a 1 size fits all way to deal with these situations. So don't take my suggestion as 'yeah I'll do that'-blindly, it hasn't always worked for me, but it's made me more successful in engaging in a non-hostile conversation. You're a better judge of how you friend is and what she will react and listen to. But I figured just in case I'd say it if it might be something worth thinking about, coming into it from the point of 'taking interest'. I hope you'll find a way to talk to her about it. If she will transition there's a good chance she's about to ruin her entire life. BUT, if you don't manage, don't blame yourself for it. This isn't your fault, and at the end of the day she is not your responsibility. Everyone at the end of the day is responsible for the choices they make - and you can only do so much to influence that. More so even when the law and morality about a subject conflict.

It’s demonic. People just gotta get our kids TF out of public schools. And vote Republican/Trump at any cost. They’ll lie about him to keep him out. They don’t want him disrupting the school boards

My oldest son also at 29. It's horrible. There seems to be no help for this mental illness. He is obviously not himself and hurting. Yet he was given hormones with serious health risks by a "doctor" he found online. Self diagnosed, pills prescribed.

My daughter came out to us about 10 years ago. We have never affirmed her in her decision. We have loved her to the point of her alienating all of her family. She has moved to different state. She is in an extremely abusive and co-dependent relationship. It has been hell. We haven't seen her since 2020 or her heard voice in 2 years. We will continue to stand for Truth and most of all love her thru this. It's the hardest thing we've had to do...its tougher than tough love.

I used to think I was trans. I had therapy to figure it out, and thankfully was not given any hormones because in the Netherlands they don't hand it out as easily. Turned out I just felt a lot of pressure from expectations I put on myself based on what I thought society wanted to see (e.g. being a true man or true woman) and the issue which was at large was more that I need to be able to push back and defend my own desires, pleasures or whatever is a part of my identity. I no longer suffer from dysphoria thankfully and am receiving therapy for assertiveness, and have been feeling a lot better since. I am so grateful that my psychiatrist was still sceptical and didn't instantly write me off into gender-confirming therapy as the APA would have liked.

You're lucky your doctor was allowed to be skeptical. It's surprising he hasn't had his license pulled for not towing the line.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I know a young woman who thinks she is trans, and I think her real issues are very much like yours. Your comment helps me understand what kind of therapy might help her.

Nowadays you can be prosecuted in Spain if you brong you child to the psychiatrist to diagnose gender dysphoria. If your under age child says to be trans you have to allow them to transition before coming odñf age.

@@rebeccadanvers884 Do you have a source for this? I couldn't find anything regarding your statement. The closest thing I found was that a new law was passed in Spain (in 2022 I believe) where anybody over the age of 16 can legally change their registered gender without a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria (under 16, you can still do but need parent's permission or court order). You may not agree with said law, but that's substantially different than what you stated. Which is why I asked for a source as if what you said is true, that's obviously bat**** crazy.

When she says that this issue traumatizes the entire family I cant help but wonder if that is the whole point behind this ideology - destroying the family unit.

@@brandonesterer New Discourses is an absolute gold mine. James Lindsay has a better understanding of the woke cult than anyone else I have ever heard. I recommend his channel often. Though his speeches are very long, & extremely heavy. I feel like Jordan Peterson is a better introduction to unveiling the woke ideology, but once you have a base understanding of it, New Discourses with James Lindsay is where you go for the advanced lesson on woke ideology.
