Wise words from a pastor I recently heard give a sermon on this topic: "It is better to be divided by truth, then to be united by error" "It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, then to speak falsehood that comforts but then kills" "It is not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole council of God" "It is better to be hated for telling the truth, then to be loved for telling a lie" "It is better to stand alone with the truth, then to be wrong with the multitude." Zion will be made up of those who rather than be deceived by the philosophies of men mingled with scripture, held tight to the word of God and were plucked out of the field and gathered. This is being seen in all denominations as those who have the word of God written on their hearts refuse to follow their congregations and even their leaders who have been lead astray or corrupted and instead follow Christ and his gospel.

No I donk think what you say about the leaders in Zion is true because the scriptures also tell us that the Lord's voice will come from from out of Zion and from Jerusalem in the last days so the Lord is always going to speak from out of Zion and the Lord is going to be found in Zion.. I think the doctrine of the family will still stand in Zion. If they are born male and reassign later on to a female then they have to marry a male. If they are born female and reassign later on to a male, then they have to marry a female.

Very true. We are called upon to warn our brothers and sister of their sin, so they might change their ways. True love is telling someone the truth whether or not they want to hear it, so they to might inherit the kingdom of Heaven.

If a man is baptized as a woman that means he didn't go through the repentance process, and we just caved into their sin. That's a horrible message to send people who need repentance.

They changes before coming to the knowledge of the truth. But they are not allowed to go to the Temple, and must live the law of chastity too. That technically means celibacy for them. The resurrection will deal with the rest of it, as will the vail being restored to the pre-earth 2 gender state. The good thing is that they will realise who they were and eternally are, their true gender as given by God.

You have to look into the current policies of the church regarding this issue instead of jumping to conclusions. This is what some members make the mistake of doing they jump to their own conclusions instead of checking the Church policies to see what the conditions are when it comes to transgender baptisms..

@germanslice the current church policy teaches that baptism is a gender neutral ordinance, God's doctine is the opposite. When a current policy goes against scripture, it needs to be called out. "73 The person who is called of God and has authority from Jesus Christ to baptize, shall go down into the water with the person who has presented himself or herself for baptism, and shall say, calling him or her by name: Having been commissioned of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen." (Doctrine and Covenants 20:73( If baptism was gender neutral, God would not have found the necessity of saying "himself or herself" It also contradicts scripture, Moses said: "1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord" (Deuteronomy 23:1) Also: "5 ¶ The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God" (Deuteronomy 22:5) Also, Paul taught inthe New Testament: "9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) The term "abuser of self with mankind" is 17th century expression for homosexual man, and "effeminate" refers to men acting like girls" So, the current handbook goes against scripture.

Elder Beheshti of the Seventy came to our stake conference a year ago or so and discussed gender confusion and true love. He promised us that if we memorized The Family: A Proclamation to the World, then we would be able to recognize the deceptions of the adversary for what they are. I love this promise!

Thank you for sharing this. It is nice to know that there are still leaders who are holding to the truth despite what those higher them are doing. Reminds me of Catholic priests that have held true despite the Pope going against their doctrine.

My entire family memorized the proclamation on the family, my son was homeschooled and went on a mission and to BYUI and is now saying he's a girl 😢 Satan is powerful and has kidnapped my beloved child... 😥

@@cariroundy7814 God is more powerful and can deliver and heal anyone. Turn to him and for hope look to the Christian community like Focus on the Fam ily and other groups who have countless stories you can find online of people who were hea led from gender dysphoria as well as all the other issues of the alphabet community. They are powerful stories, they also offer biblical ways to address and deal with these issues in families. Things you would have heard our church teach only a decade or so ago. I hold firm to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the BOM but I take Joseph Smith's council and seek for truth wherever I can find it. There is hope and there is healing.

Joseph Smith taught to seek for t r u t h wherever you can find it. There are great scripture based resources out there for families dealing with this that bring hope and healing.

....as bad as that Women's conference was in 2021....it was the General RS Presidency that was just gleaming with joy at this "queer" gal, and her only point to make was that she was queer and perfect. She has denounced the Family Proclamation.

I will tell you about an experience I had with my little granddaughters and a restroom incident. We had gone to the bathroom in a gas station and my daughter in law was helping her one daughter and I was watching my four year old granddaughter. She was singing and dancing around me and all of the sudden she stilled and came over to me and hugged my legs really scared. I noticed a weird feeling in the room and looked over and a man dressed like a woman had come in. You can't tell me that he was a woman no matter their argument. I and my granddaughter knew something was wrong. It is a very frightening thing that is going on in this world and I am very scared and heartbroken how many of God's children are buying into this ideology. Very wicked indeed

My heart goes out to Lauren he is mentally ill. I have mental illness in my family my brother thinks he is the prophet of the church and Luke Skywalker. We need to love them but recognize the disability.

Why is it we go back-and-forth on this? Take a blood test, it shows whether your man or a woman. Your DNA is your DNA. What you look like what you think doesn’t change your DNA. sin is sin. God has declared it. End of discussion, now that doesn’t mean you can be a jerk, it just means that truth is truth.

"Eating disorder, depression, gender disorder, panic attacks" what a tragedy that instead of helping this person fully access the healing power that comes through the Savior, they basically aide them in staying stuck in their suffering. I hope and pray this person can come to know and access the healing, freedom and peace the savior has to offer. While the lds church is complicit in perpetuating a lie, some Christian churches are boldly proclaiming truth and helping people to find healing and peace.

Great program today. I’m only a third through, but I had to comment. My wife and I presided over the Salt Lake City West Mission from 2015 to 2018. Richard Ostler was one of the bishops in the YSA wards in our mission. Many of our missionaries were creeped out by the guy. My wife and I thought we should check it out. We confirmed what our missionaries felt. He was preaching this crap from the pulpit and every chance he could. Here is the problem. I brought up this issue with the GA that was over us. He happens to be a son in law of our current president. He just gushed over Ostler and stated what a wonderful work he was doing among the alphabet soup group. Needless to say, we were in shock. It’s not surprising, but disappointing, the direction the church is headed. “Neither root nor branch”, that is where this is headed. IMO

@@holyroller4391I think many “mid managers “ are of the world in many ways. It appears that the 15 men are making decisions based of committee, and recommendations. Most GA’s have been educated in very left leaning g institutions. This is carried over into their ecclesiastical callings and assignments. This explains what is going on with d-book and BYU. IMO

Sometimes in the past I have done my ministering alone, visiting another single sister in her home. If I was assigned to visit a man who identified as a woman, there is absolutely no way I would visit on my own or even with another sister. I would want a priesthood holder present. I just feel like an enormous can of worms has been opened and it’s going to be a mess getting the lid back on.

I believe Greg Madsen was saying that all this mixed messages and confusion was giving false hope to those people that hoped the church would change. But that he personally believes having hope in Christ means people can change… we all have to change from the natural man

Cwic show is a good pro LDS podcast. There are others I definitely recommend watching is Ward Radio, Thoughtful Faith, and Cougar Chronicle. These are the good guys.

Greg's view was to resist evil while still having those temptations. He wasn't endorsing those ideas. He's also warned against subversion in the church several times. ... All eternal progression can't be cheated. Its all done through faith and repentance in cycles. We will always be trying to grow, stretch, and move forward through faith and repentance.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I would be curious to hear how you might respond to someone who says that as we live in a fallen world, a chromosomal error could have occurred. People are born without limbs, yet we don't say God made a mistake. If someone is born with wrong chromosomes, could it be that that is just a result of a fallen world and not a direct mistake of God?

@@batboy12394 Except I have heard activists literally say God made a mistake.;) Besides there is a big difference between a missing limb and chromosomal defects, which we do have and have had for thousands of years. This is something different, this modern push, because it is not a modern push. Asherah had priests/priestess's that would perform surgeries to destroy peoples bodies, it is not something new. You want to legitimize a movement which is recent by modern history and was missing 120 years ago. Then again I turn to the Bible: 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22 Their ultimate statement is that a normal male should accept a "fixed" female as a normal female. Some challenges are meant to be endured without modern science trying to change it or fix it. Modern science is a form of Anti-Christ.

@@batboy12394 a female spirit won’t be in a body that contains a Y chromosome according to LDS doctrine. God puts male spirits into male bodies, female spirits into female bodies. When chromosomal abnormalities occur regarding sex chromosomes, it is with extra chromosomes being transferred to the daughter cells. This is a result of living in a fallen world, as you said. Corruption of processes in a corrupt world may be another way of describing the same thing. However, these extra chromosomes are always X and Y chromosomes--therefore a female could be XX which is typical or normal or with the extras will present XXX or even XXXX in her cells. Any Y chromosome being present denotes male. YXX, YXXX, YYX, etc. are all considered male. Female= no Y chromosome. According to the Book of Mormon, God would cease to be God if He is not a perfect god. Therefore, anyone saying that they are in the wrong body is saying God made a mistake, ergo they are saying God is not God. If you believe in God the Eternal Father and His son Jesus Christ then you believe God does not make mistakes. And really what is more likely: God made a mistake or man made a mistake?

Here's a thought: What if instead of seeing people as they see themselves, we see them as God sees them. And to avoid destruction and bringing about what is prophesied in D&C 112 how about instead of sending the message that God made a mistake and put you in the wrong body so, we in our great wisdom are going to fix it by letting you attend RS. We instead help people find healing through Christ so they can embrace who God made them to be and reach their full, eternal potential.

@@HoosierDaddyActual God did create them as he sees them. They are the ones who can't accept themselves as they were created to be or don't see themselves as God created them. God doesn't make mistakes and he doesn't put people in the wrong body. He doesn't not make people to hate how they were created, that comes from external or internal sources.

This may sound harsh, I think these bishops should be excommunicated. And I'm saying this as a member. If breaking the law of chastity or any major commandment enough times can get you excommunicated how can a person who openly goes against the doctrine keep a leadership calling or even get baptized?

i def agree. the Lord says in Mosiah 26, "whosoever transgresseth against me, him shall ye judge according to the sins which he has committed; and if he confess his sins before thee and me, and repenteth in the sincerity of his heart, him shall ye forgive, and I will forgive him also. ... and whosoever will not repent of his sins the same shall not be numbered among my people"

When i was a child people would have thought i should have been a boy because i liked boy toys. I loved playing in the dirt with trucks and cars. I thank God i didnt grow up in the same messed up world these kids are growing up in. I am so sad for our world.

My daughter says the same thing. In Jr High all she wanted to wear was boys basketball jerseys/shorts…. It drove me crazy 😂…. She’s 27 now and as girly as they get. She’s sure if it were today they would’ve convinced her she’s bi or trans .

I feel the same way. I was a huge tomboy, always playing the male roles with my friends (like when we’d play house, knights and princesses, etc.). I loved all the boyish things. My parents never made me feel weird or different and I fully grew into my femininity. I am so grateful that I was not led into confusion!

Oh for sure. We were so lucky to have been able to be kids. I never grew into my full femininity but I am all woman, I just like boy type of toys still. I love to build things. My husband was a welder before he retired but I love wood. We built a shed together a few years back and I had to teach him how to do it. LOL@@allisonhansen364

It makes me furious when people use the q-word. When I was growing up in the 60s, we weren't even allowed to say that word! Our parents loved us and wouldn't even tell us what it meant! Now they push this in schools, etc. I have been in long email exchanges with our school district, to no avail. We all need to speak up against this. It boils down to antiwhitism, trying to destroy Western civilization and our norms.

There is tons of hatred toward us, we are the only race that can be legally discriminated against for "diveristy" goals, and we are being White erased from our own countries! My position is that this is the work of the enemy - to create chaos and division! I cannot speak to the causes of the wording you so well pointed out in the current handbook. My covenant is to not speak against the Lord's annointed. I choose to avoid contention with my fellow brothers and sisters. I take this battle to the spiritual level where it resides. I go into my prayer closet and put on the armor of God. I speak in the Name of Jesus Christ and call down the powers, authorities, and influence of Satan and his host. I call down the false teachings and false teachers. I call down the false officers and judges. I call down the false leaders in business and politics. It was by the power of the Lamb that we cast the enemy out of the heavens and put down their rebellion. I believe that I was reserved to come forth this day (even requested it as taught by Pres. Nelson). I actually believe that most of the current inhabitants of this earth were reserved for this time, but that many have allowed themselves to be distracted, deceived, and spiritually destroyed. But those who know, through the Holy Ghost, who we are must do what we came here to do - cast out our enemy through the power and authority of our Lord Jesus Christ and labor to build His Zion. I believe that shunning the power of Satan must be accomplished first before the fullness of Zion can come. We teach much in this Church about spreading the love of the Lord but very little is spoken about using the power and authority of Christ to cast out our enemy - this must change. All is not well in Zion. We must be the warriors who will break down the walls, throw down the towers, and scatter the watchmen of our enemy! Christ walks with us and He is our victory!

Your video will hopefully help open the eyes of some of the saints. For many years I was part of the gay community, which negatively affects one’s soul. So maybe that’s why I see this more clearly than other saints. The transgender issue simply needs to occur within the Church. It’s clear it is a “wheat versus tares” issue playing out in real time. And it’s kind of too late for the saints to change that course and resolidify the clear in-practice stance the Church had up til the late 1980s, at least not without major backlash and breakage in membership. Although some in-person protests have occurred, saints being upset now appears to only be online and not in the actual meetinghouses, which is ineffective in steering the majority of saints, who do not study on their own and blindly follow along, back towards the correct side of the transgender issue. For example, my bishop wholeheartedly supports LGBTQ beliefs and shares it from the pulpit and especially with our youth. This affects our adults too. I’ve heard it said by a teacher in Sunday school they do not know if the Holy Ghost is a man or woman. I’m personally hated at Church since I do not agree with their gender confusion beliefs and am not a part of their cliques. Other than my immediate family, I have zero friends at Church. I do speak up sometimes but ultimately people want what they want. And people should get exactly what they desire, even if it is unfortunately to their destruction. To the saints’ detriment, they have not taught their children true principles, leaving it to others to do, and have been overly accepting of other ideologies being taught in their communities. I personally saw this coming in 2012. The Church, either purposely or accidentally, encouraged this current issue when they created the Mormons and Gays website (it should be known that such moves are usually an HR move to appease and avoid current and future court cases and lawsuits). I remember explaining it to my Gospel Doctrine class and how the apostle (I do not remember which - that video has since been removed) assigned to announce the website had a short intro video placed on the front page. The sheer look of despair on his face did not align with his words. It was a rare sight to see an apostle project such self-violation. It was as if he were coerced or blackmailed into making the video speech. I really felt bad for him as it was clear he was not in agreement. I took that as a sign. This arc of events is not surprising, given witchcraft organizations (which we definitely do not discuss openly among one another as saints) were allowed and common within the Church membership again starting in the 1960s and 1970s, in my estimation. So now the grandchild generation is showing some of the side-effects of that change in church and home culture. The Church’s lack of clarity then and now (its words versus its actions) is simply a part of our mortal and eternal battle towards personal salvation. We have to choose on our own and understand why we choose it. Following the prophet is a much misunderstood statement in that regard. Since we are in all actuality in Satan’s realm, we should rather just follow the Savior and Heavenly Father by way of the Holy Ghost and the scriptures, to discern the path towards exaltation. I know many believe they receive answers from God which supports their LGBTQ beliefs, so I understand my suggestion is better said than done.

Well done, thank you for such a concise video discussing these topics. I’m not sure what the future holds for the LDS church but I’m standing with the Family Proclamation. My temple covenants are sacred to me, I don’t see how trans/gay marriage would even work in the temple. Everything that takes place in the temple would have to change.

The church will be dissolved into a small remnant who live a terrestrial law or higher and be transformed into the Church of the Firstborn as mentioned in the D&C about the time the N.J. is estab. Before then, it will be purged via judgements of God, not by the church leadership. We need to let go of that false hope of church discipline but hope for Christ's reign and will be done (sending a scourge, dividing wheat & tares).

The law of chastity has not changed. No sexual relations except between a male and female who are lawfully married according to His law. I think it is interesting that it says according to my [His] law. Not male or female according to how society identifies people.

The endowment has changed and does not specify man with women and vice versa. Here is what it now says " God’s sons and God’s daughters shall have no sexual relations except only with those to whom they are legally and lawfully wedded according to His law." Gays are legally and lawfully wed in some states. This looks like a loophole to me for gay sealings.

In a world where everyone was a christian we could teach the missing elements that were restored. I hope they can canonize the proclamation on the family (even though President Oaks called it irrevocable doctrine), and also change the wording to "biological male" and biological female", because that is currently a loophole. We cannot support, promote, agree with or teach anything that is contrary to the doctrines of the church, if we want to keep our temple recommend. These people who are supporting this, especially those in leadership positions, should be invited to a church disciplinary council.

In 2015, shortly after rainbow marriages became legal, Elder Christoferson said in an interview that members could publicly support ssm and retain their temple privileges (directly contradicting the Family Proclamation). We are now seeing the fruits of the ridiculous policy changes made nearly a decade ago.

Back in the day, I was taught and understood that blacks would, at some future time, be eligible to receive the priesthood. Is that how the doctrine regarding gender is being taught? I don’t think so.

Nowhere in scripture does it say blacks are to be denied PH. That was a tradition of the fathers; there was never a revelation denying the PH to blacks. The scriptures do forbid homosexuality in several places.

When were you taught they would receive the priesthood? I was taught after every worthy man of non-cursed races received it and that it would very likely be after this life. Jesus forbid teaching Gentiles. There was a huge hubbub over circumcision. Paul encouraged the faithful to never get married. Things change and they change often. As I've stated elsewhere, nothing in the Family Proclamation is against the transgender community. I know many who agree that gender is in fact eternal. In a fallen world where our physical bodies do not reflect our eternal glory it doesn't seem much of a stretch. 🤷‍♂️

First thing is throw away the term Unconditional Love as false. It's a doctrine of man. It's nowhere in the scriptures and no where in Christ's teachings. A better term is steadfast love, unfailing love or mercy. The term was created in the 1930s by a socialist psychoanalyst. It's obvious that unconditional love is a false statement as God Himself does not practice it. He balances Justice and Mercy. Unconditional love became popularized during the 80's and 90's and the members of the church began using it. The turnings from good to evil are slow and carefully approached by Satan.

Ya, this is a tricky subject in some ways. Because the term unconditional love gives the sense that the love is unchanging regardless of the situation. And while God does fundamentally love us at all times and is always there when we turn to him, he is not unconditionally approving. It's fairly common to see the parallel in many families all over where parents love their wayward children and want the best for them, but don't approve of their bad decisions, or support them in their bad choices.

I have been following this issue closely since my 29 year old son recommended I listen to Brother Ostlers podcast in 2020. It was my first podcast. At first I felt very enlightened but as time passed I began to wonder about this good man’s judgment. My son and I both stopped listening to Brother Ostler over a year ago without telling one another. It was becoming too radical for us both. I think the whole debacle with Dylan Mulvaney helped me understand a bit more clearly, and after listening to such commentators as Jordan Pearson, Megyn Kelly and the daily wire contributors, that the emperor really doesn’t have new clothes. I read that story in my English primary school and I knew he had nothing on! And at 70 years old I do know the difference between male and female. I know there are only two genders and that the gender we are here on earth is the gender we were premortally and will be in the next estate. The use of hormones and a scalpel cannot change the chromosomal makeup of a person. I’m sure many children navigating puberty feel some gender dysphoria at one time or another, but for the majority it all gets resolved. I recently had to fill in some health insurance forms which not only asked me my gender but also asked which pronouns I preferred! I deleted the question! 40 years ago in England we had a young homosexual brother in our ward. He was very demonstrative, very expressive and very effeminate. Nevertheless everyone loved him and he was accepted without question. But we didn’t sit around wondering about him neither did he try to convince us. We just all got along. Of course I don’t know how troubled he was in private, but he could have never had to question that if he wasn’t there we would miss him. Please keep making content Brother Boyack. We need this kind of commonsense among younger Latter-day Saints.

I can't make sense of any of this. What is happening? Is there no longer any defined right and wrong??? At least in my ward, the man who claims he is now a woman still shows on the records as a man (I know because I can see in Tools that he is assigned to Elders Quorum). He comes to Relief Society with his wife, and I can live with that, but if he walks into the women's restroom, I will lose it.... I saw a comment on another YT video from a temple ordinance worker who said they were trained on their shift how to handle the situation of a trans man presenting as a woman. I am an ordinance worker and in my temple, we haven't seen anything like that. Again, if that happens, I will lose it.... But there is no other church to go to; this is all we have. We can't lose the restored gospel!

Richard Ostler is teaching openly that Lauren is a daughter of God. That changes the entirety of the doctrine taught in scripture and the proclamation on the family. It also denies recent conference talks. “Gospel of grace”? “Gospel of Kindness”? We have the gospel of Jesus Christ, of which grace and kindness are principles. We are sacrificing truth on the alter of kindness/grace. “Papa Ostler” seems to want to lead that charge. Lead his own church, maybe. When will we learn to follow the Oracles of the Living God?

The issue of missionaries meeting with someone without passing it to other missionaries is sometimes tricky. I had trouble with that because when I was a missionary I found out that some of the missionaries were not going by to peoples houses when we gave them a referral. This happened a lot. Because of being bilingual I often gave names to others. Sometimes we'd worked hard to get and build names, and then we'd pass them out to the other missionaries. Then I found out other missionaries were often not going by at all, or they'd throw the name away, or seemingly try to go to the least possible effort to deny the referral an opportunity. Some said they left a message and then threw the name away after one try. This is why, its not always possible to give names you are teaching as a missionary to other people. I agree that its good to do so, you probably ought to. But some people are out on missions because their parents told them they had to or they'd not get any help with money for college. Or that they'd kick them out of the house if they don't go on a mission. So they would often not want to do the work, or they'd make a mess out of someone else's work. In my mind the idea to give missionary referrals to other missionaries partly depends on the idea that you can decide ahead of time that you won't give into temptation and not go in their house for your own gain; which is what you should be doing anyway regardless of if the person you are teaching is another gender or not.

The doctrine of the curse of Ham through Canaan is found in Genesis 8:25-27 and Abraham 1:24-27. Our doctrine is found in the scriptures. It is the word of God and it has not changed. It does not change because of a policy update, a PR statement, or something you imagined hearing in a general conference talk. It is God's eternal word. "Under the direction of the Lord’s prophets and apostles, the Church provides and preserves the word of God as found in the holy scriptures. The scriptures testify of Christ, teach His gospel, and help us exercise faith in Him." Handbook 1.3.4 Until the Scriptures are removed, nothing has changed here about this doctrine.

Exactly! McConkie’s statement was specifically addressing the former widely held OPINION that the priesthood ban wouldn’t be lifted until sometime after the resurrection. He wasn’t questioning the legitimacy the priesthood ban itself, but was simply acknowledging that in the past some had incorrect notions about the time when the ban would ultimately be lifted. Even before June of 1978 I knew President Young’s opinion was incorrect, because every knowledgeable Latter-Day Saint knows all priesthood ordinances and ordinations have to be performed in mortality, PRIOR TO THE RESURRECTION. Why? Because every knowledgeable member of the church is aware of the fact that after the resurrection it’s too late to perform priesthood ordinances. This is why I wasn’t overly surprised when the ban was lifted in 1978. Connor Boyack is skating on thin ice when he insists that the practice celestial plural marriage and the priesthood ban are not of God. Whether he realizes it or not, he’s undermining the legitimacy of the restoration and is setting himself up as a light to the world. He thinks he’s smarter and more inspired than the Lord’s annointed…

Abraham 1:21-27 gives a more complete answer to why Pharaoh could not have the priesthood - also see footnote to v 22 connecting to Moses 7:6-8. And Moses 7:6-8 also ties to Moses 7: v 12, and then v 22 - which footnote ties back to v 8. And if you check Moses 5:28-29, 51 you find that the Secret Combination started with Cain (read Moses 5:16-57 for whole story). Verse 51 hints at homosexuality was a membership proof for this secret combination.

From the top of the church to the bottom we say one thing and do another. Not disciplining bishops. Making lgbtq+ advocates leaders of church communications etc.

Not everything is mental disorders. Sometimes its possession. Sometimes they need deliverance but if we deny that along with the denial of the power of god then we can only argue the philosophies and doctrines of men.

i wish science would look at hormonal issues as well as toxicology for answers as to what has changed that might be causing people to have these physiological problems. There might be physiological clues to explain how we got here.

I've felt that for a long time. The softeners im plastics, for instance. A person I am close to had to be on oxygen as a baby & toddler & deals with same-sex attraction now. I've always wondered if the o2 tubing had anything to do with it. There are lots of estrogen mimickers in our food supply, air, water, etc.

@@nancylowe2692 we know that our hormones are already messed up. Our testosterone levels have declined to dengerous levels, for example. But I am sure there are many other examples of hormonal problems. Toxicology would be something like microplastics and PFAs "forever chemicals." And of course our processed food supply. The list goes on.

One of Orson Pratt's talks he says that the lower levels of spirit prison people will still be deceived when they go there, despite having died. We are told something more modern that people will have the same appetites and passions, which matches up with that if you think about it. So... we had best make use of our time now while in this mortal life, to secure our exaltation by wrestling with God in prayer, working out our salvation now while we can.

The majority of the church is not ignoring God. The doctrine taught is still the truth, especially in General Conference. Our apostles verify the truth in The Family Proclmation to The World. God commands us to go to church and to participate in our communities. Policies will change and people within it, leaders included, will make mistakes, because humans are imperfect, but the doctrine will always be the same. Much of the reason why we are commanded to continue in the Chruch is because it is our duty to be an example to others. Moses had to teach the Isrealites only ten commandments because they were't ready for more than that, but he still stayed with them and taught truth.

@@sandyhardin5617 LGBT members can go forward just like all other church members to serve in church callings and hold temple recommends as long as they don't break the law of chastity or get involved in same sex relationships or same sex marriage. I don't think that policy has changed.

Demon, evil and unclean spirit possession is not taught actively in the Church currently. Is that a problem? That poor guy is possessed. Please find and interview those who have been delivered from evil spirits causing them to have thoughts and feelings change.

I wouldn't say it's a spiritual possesion in the sense of a literal demonic spirit. I genuinely believe it a sickness of the mind that they indulge in which causes their mental health to continue down a rabbit hole of illness. I was at a point in my life where I was questioning my gender and I was far from God and I was possessed but it wasn't with evil spirits, it was with depression. It was with addiction, gender dysphoria, sexual desires and etc. These are the things that constantly controlled my mind and distorted my reality because I allowed it to. We need to make sure we don't take agency away from these people in our minds by saying it's an evil spirit, because in the end it is not, It is the individual's responsibility.

That is a good point. It's easy to believe in miracles and the power of God but perhaps many still view demonic possession as superstition because of Hollywood movies.

50:52 The key terms here are “I don’t know” and “I’m not sure”. We forget that apostles are fallible and grow line upon line and precept upon precept just like the rest of us. Later statements from Elder Oaks suggests he now understands the difference between policy and doctrine. We have the family proclamation signed by all 15 members of the apostleship. It’s doctrine, not policy. Elder Oaks in his humility was clearly stating in 1988 that he wasn’t clear on the difference then.

There is a clear precedence set within the scriptures for both the doctrine of the family being firm and unchanging, as well as for who the priesthood is open to changing throughout time. The doctrine of the family was set in the garden of Eden: man and woman, sealed for eternity. It has not changed. As for the priesthood, it was passed a the birthright from the time of Adam down until the time of Jacob. However, we know that after Issac had grown, Abraham also gave the priesthood to his son Median. We know this because Jethro was a descendant if Median, and he had the priesthood passed down to him from his fathers, and Jethro then ordained Moses with the Melchizedek priesthood. Then we see Moses give the lower priesthood to all Levites, however he passed the higher priesthood to Joshua, who passed it along to the next prophet. Then comes Jesus, who gave the priesthood to all of his apostles, none of whom were Levites. In the book of Acts, Peter received revelation that the blessing of the gospel (including priesthood a d endowments) we’re to go forth to the gentiles. There is a clear trend of God extending the priesthood to more and more of his children. But his doctrine of Marriage and gender has not changed through out the dispensations.

Excellent episode and explanation of our sad situation. We are in for turbulent times, division and apostasy. Even many of the elect shall be deceived. Some think our leaders have already been deceived as some think BY was fallen. Bro Bennetts point is a cutting one that undermines the moorings of the church. Each one of us needs to have personal connection to the Spirit and the Lord and not rely on the arm of the flesh, including the brethren. We have to discern and not just be told. This has always been the case and Pres Nelson keeps telling us so. If the Family Proclamation were to be retractedor modified this would be unbelievable. But because of precedents, oh boy, hate to even think about it.

I think if we could go back and see Noah’s day and S and G day. It was much worse than what is written, because of the limited way of writing we only have a portion of what went on. We are experiencing what the Prophets of old went through when they were told to call the people to repentance they had a big fight on their hands and many gave their life to call the people to repentance. We are living in very hard times, and it saddens me that there may be generations that will never experience how the church was before this take over and will think it is normal. 😔

The prophets of old, unlike the prophets the church sustains today, spoke out against the evils of their times and called people to repentance. Today not only are they being complicit by staying silent but by allowing things to happen in the church that should not happen, putting people in positions of influence that will further lead members away and condoning things that are contrary to the scriptures.

The utah constition of utah basically states that if the church goes outside what the federal government says to do the assets of the church can be siezed. The leadership of the church is playing a knifes edge game. We as priesthood holders have not gaurded the doctrine of the church nore have they built the towers of high knowledge and disciplship to god. We have not been men god but men who have made excuses and muddled through church and have not learned but have done what nephi said we would do as gentiles. We would reject the doctrine and be cursed. anyone unworthy of the covanents would have the promise taken away and given back to the lost nephites and worthy covanent peoples. Well here it is. The nephites and coming and taking back the promises of this land. The age of the gentiles is over!

Conner, I loved this video pulling together everything going on! I would, however, have loved some references, such as to the 1988 Quote by Elder Oaks regarding doctrine and policy. I searched online to no avail. Also, your comparing this issue with the the giving of the priesthood to Elijah Able was curious. It was my understanding that his priesthood was revoked, per this quote: "A very interesting article appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune in 1970. It tells of an account of Elijah Able himself stating that he had had his priesthood withdrawn from him by the Prophet Joseph Smith. “The Prophet Joseph Smith was commanded by God to withdraw the priesthood from Elijah Able, and revoke the ordination. … Although there is no official Church record as to the revocation, Elijah Able affirmed the fact to father, Thomas A. Shreeve, when both were living in the Salt Lake 10th Ward, during 1872-1877. At the time, Bro. Able told young Thomas, who baptized Able’s grandchildren that the Prophet Joseph ‘came to him with tears in his eyes one day, and told him [Able] that he had been commanded by the Lord to withdraw the holy priesthood from him.’ Patriarch Shreeve, testified many times before his death in 1931, of the facts in the case, and of his close relationship with Brother Able. One's testimony of God is necessarily based on whether God is Omniscient and Omnipotent. (If He is neither omniscient nor omnipotent, He cannot have the power of a god and therefore, cannot be God) When a person believes they (or anyone else) have been placed in the wrong body, they are admitting that they do not believe in God's omniscience nor His omnipotence, proving a lack of faith in God. This fact alone precludes any of these people being worthy of divine ordinances--all of which are designed to bring us back to God's presence, in whom they doubt and with whom they disagree. This clearly demonstrates that they, in fact, believe as Lucifer did and does believe. "But behold, this time it hath brought forth much fruit, and there is none of it which is good. And behold, there are all kinds of bad fruit; and it profiteth me nothing..." (Jacob 5:32)

This brought up an interesting thought: A trans person might say “Christ doesn’t need to fix me, because I’m not broken, this is just who I am and He loves me for that” But: I’m sure there is something that all of us wouldn’t necessarily be able to recognize in ourselves that needs changing… we might think it’s perfectly normal and “just the way we are” - even if that thing isn’t inherently sinful. This is why Christ is so needed for everyone. He will change us, even when we don’t think we need it. Just rely on HIM everyone. So much more freedom that way, and true and lasting change is actually possible through Him. Good day

I wonder if anyone in here has taken the time to consider how difficult it would be for most men to present as women and vice versa. And yet, trans people feel compelled to do so. We know there are biological cases of ambiguous gender at the chromosomal and developmental levels, and while those don’t account for most trans people, the presence of any gray area suggests that we don’t actually know this like we think we do, and should therefore use greater caution in our assertions. I get the discomfort with the topic, but I think we’ll come to regret casting off people because of gender identity.

I really don’t understand why people really truly think they have the capability of bending God to their will. Objective reality is what persists even when we don't believe in it. Perception changes with our beliefs. That's the difference between reality and perception. If perception and reality don't match, then belief must change to align with reality. Otherwise, a person will stay stuck living in a lie.

The problem is going down the "gender" rabbit hole in the first place. "Gender" is a literary term. "Sex" is a biological term. When people say, "my gender is _______," they are speaking nonsense. People do not have genders. Words do. People do have a sex. And that sex is either male or female. Human beings are a sexually dimorphic species. That means they are either designed to produce small, active gametes or larger, relatively inactive gametes. There is no other possibility -- no both, or neither, or changing, or anything else. You are what you are. That is reality. A church should not be indulging in biological fantasy.

I think this topic is going to be separating the wheat from the chaff in our church. This world is very spiritually sick, pretending and Ignoring it it’s not going to make it go away. I look at this issue is as if someone had a disease, should we avoid giving them medicine. Because they are choosing to believe lies. Should we not at least offer them the truth, that they are deceived and they indeed are very sick and need help. Should we not offer them what is available to heal them.

Loved your coverage. I can understand the fact the LDS community needs to get off their high horse at time, just like the Sadducees and the Pharisees. We have the fulness of the gospel and still receiving it, but we need to be more humble and loving to those who struggle to know who they are. The transgender persons need our understanding that they face gender confusion. But what is clear as stated in the family proclamation, is that male and female is a biological term. In the next life they will know that too, as we are resurrected into perfect bodies and minds. There will be no more gender confusion and no more small family units as we are here, in this world. We will rejoin the pre-earth family and all be brothers and sisters. All blessings are predicated by a law. Those who do not live that law will not receive that blessing or continuous blessings (of sealing family units). The sealing power of families and continued blessings of the sealing power, only exist through exaltation. It will disappoint some people, but, only 2 genders will exist in starting out own universes, just as our Father did. Lets just be loving and understanding that they do not know who they are and hope they will learn one day.
