@@abennett3118 there are thousands of hours being recorded. Unless someone officially made a complaint, it was probably just sitting in their archives. Same with public cameras, yes, it's being recorded, but unless something was filed and they have to produce it, it's just there in archives. Now, no idea how they got this tape. Many recordings are deleted after 90 days. Its so freaking expensive to keep videos, we are talking about gigabytes worth of storage. My ignorant guess is, it was recovered from Diddy. He secured the tape when it happened. No hotel is storing video data from 10 years ago. Only safe place is the cloud and it's just not economical for them to do that. AWS storage ain't cheap.

Unfortunately, the statue of limitations has run out on all this stuff. Plus, everyone agreed to be paid off at the time so it would be pretty low to agree to take a payoff and then come back and ask for something different. If you agree to be paid off, honor your deal. If you don't want to be paid off, take legal action at the time. But don't take a payoff and then try to sue or go back on your word because there is some media attention. Regardless of what side you are on, honor your word. The only issue I have with this is the hotel knew a crime was committed and they took a payoff to cover an assault charge. Even if they all agreed to a payoff, it's still assault and the hotel didn't have a right to make that decision. However, Cassie could have demanded charges were pressed and demanded the cops get a copy of the tape - but she didn't.
