Good request,. A great 80's standard.. Gene released this in 1984. The song was written by Johnny Russell. The song peaked at number 7 on Billboards country chart. Gene is a Palestine TX boy. Thanks for the great reaction

80s country! Love it! Kind of a forgotten era. The genre really catered to a more mature audience back then. But some great music came out of that time.
