This is what I do for my challenge lines. I also to Historical county and compare with current counties. This shows how the county changed; yet the family never moved. It also tells you which counties to look for in certain time periods. Those records may not be in the current county.

I've found Find A Grave to be an excellent resource for information on the individual you are looking for, and their relatives. Also if the person in question had accomplished something noteworthy, it's often in the description as well. Connie's flower tip is excellent advice and I'm definitely going start leaving a flower on each inquiry. And it feels like I'm giving a little fond rememberance to the deceased as well.

I use Find A Grave and Billion Graves. I use Topographical and argiculture maps also.

That Find-a-Grave tip is brilliant. I will do that from now on. I've uploaded pictures and information before but never thought of the flower thing for the purpose you mentioned.

Very informative! I especially appreciate the tips on using Ancestry card catalog and placing flowers under persons grave as a reminder that you’ve been there and letting others know that your researching that person! Thanks Connie!😊
