Just bought two of them. When you hook the hose up to it for continuous draining, how do you keep the water from filling up the bucket? There is a hole on the hose bib and the water just pours out into the bucket instead of draining out the hose. I don’t want to plug the hole with caulk, in case I want to use the bucket.

This one doesn't seem to have that issue.

Owned mine for about 2 years and it started leaking water. I ended purchasing another. I’m giving it one more try.

That's not the standard failure mode of these. Was likely a simple fix.

This is kind of surprising considering it’s now in its 3 year in service. Granted I have had a couple modern units last for about 2-3 years myself. But most of them have lasted 2 years or less. The quickest one I have ever had fail was 4 months. I may with the new unit try out something once the warranty expires and it still holds a charge by taking some primer on the end loops to help seal off the ends. This could make it last but due to these things having trouble else where I still don’t give it a chance. Hopefully one day a vintage unit will take its place permanently.

I think we need to start painting the ends of the coils to prevent rust. There seems to be something with the dissimilar metals that really speeds up the decay process.

This unit might be cheap junk but there's no complaining if it still works. Hopefully it lasts a while.

Does it turn back on if the power goes out?
@JordanU11 ай бұрын
I'm not sure, we've never had a power failure while it was running.

I have had a couple of modern units when the power has gone out and they do automatically turn themselves back on once power is restored at the setting you had them set at before the power outage.
