A couple of my favorites that I think you or others might enjoy: 1. 'Everything' game, really blew my mind. The premise of the game is pretty silly -- your objective is to just roll around as random things in the universe and gradually morph into everything. The game has some recordings from the philosopher Alan Watts which I think you might enjoy. 2. Sardines in tomato sauce (any higher price Portuguese brand) fried egg, and rice. Even better with some kimchi on the side or whatever picked veggie is on hand. 3. Koh-I-Noor metal pin brush. I've found boar bristles don't work well for me and those brushes with the round balls at the tip of the pins are hard to clean whenever I brush my hair. They have different brush styles and materials, and are so beautiful to look at as well (I have the tortoiseshell one). Also a little pricey but not as much as Mason Pearson. 4. Cooking with a carbon steel wok. I had seen my grandma use her wok for YEARS and I don't know why it took me this long to switch from skillets and pots and buy one. People always praise cast iron skillets for being versatile, but I find that since I cook a lot of Asian meals, a wok is actually way more versatile for my day to day use than a skillet.

My heart is so full. I listen to This is Water every June during graduation season. It’s such a masterful piece of writing and such a melancholic anecdote about life. If you haven’t watched it, maybe watch his interviews. David Foster Wallace was so complex, as are all humans, and he had a very special way of expressing that.

hey christine! for books i would recommend "the sailor who fell from grace with the sea" by yukio mishima, it's kind of short but it's sooo beautifully written and the plot is crazy but in a good way lmao. it was the first book i've read in a while and i literally devoured it in one sitting! for music i've been listening to ichiko aoba, she's a japanese folk singer and the gentleness of her voice and the instruments in her songs is just Sublime. listening to her makes me the calmest and happiest i've ever felt. songs i would recommend are amuletum, a hill of the moon, and kikaijikake no ucyuu 💕💓 there's a video on youtube of her performing her music in nature and it seriously aligned my chakras lol

Check out the band Sault, their sound is really varied with a mix of soul, post-punk - it’s like r&b backed with ESG / Can / Portishead. Check out the songs “Something’s In The Air”, “Red Lights”, and “Masterpiece”. For vintage sunshine pop stuff, Margo Guryan “Sun” which reminds me so much of Broadcast. The reissue is pretty easy to find. Hope you enjoy!
