Normally I want to smack creators when they drone on and on and I'm trying to get the info quick. But I happen to be driving and listening and when I come to a stoplight I looked at the wood to get an idea but other than that I was listening while I was driving and I quite enjoyed it and you cracked me up a few times and that shit looks amazing!!! I'm hoping it can solve my cedar staining problems. Getting a consistent, or replicable result on cedar is an absolute bitch because the types of cedar out there are the quality and the grain and the coloring very so much. Thank you for your video it really help me a lot :-)

Ha, I'm with you on the t-shirts. I have like 15 cheap cotton t-shirts from Walmart that I pretty much wear everyday. In the winter, I wear a hoodie over the top.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the longevity of the oil, given it’s been so long. Thanks!

I used the outdoor oil on a pair of adirondack chairs that I made out of white oak. Put on two coats, waiting 24 hours in between coats. The chairs are on my concrete patio and after a rainy day I noticed that the oil was bleeding off the chairs and staining the concrete. I have no idea what would cause this.

Does the finish you put on your windows have copper in it for pesticide control? wonderful. I cant imagine how much custom, mahogany wood windows cost!

Are you able to use a topcoat on these to increase the longevity of the finish?? Refinishing every 2 years sounds terrible haha

Hi, What type of wood were the windows and did the oil have a tint in it or was it clear?

I'm doing an outdoor bench in white oak and decided to try this out. I noticed that after two coats I have a texture or at least more of a rough surface compared to the nice smooth finish surface I had after sanding. I sprayed the first coat on with an Earlex 6003 then wiped the second coat on with a rag. I made sure to wipe excess off after each application. What am I doing wrong to not get a nice smooth surface? Should I use a scotch brite then lightly apply the final?

+Chris Pereira what did you sand down to before applying the finish
@Scrmnegl776 жыл бұрын
I did 150 and it was smooth. Applied some cabot stain. Then sprayed the outdoor oil. No sand. Wiped on outdoor oil for a second coat.

+Chris Pereira maybe reacted badly with cabots. Or maybe the spray. Gotta slowly build a finish for perfection.

I think I would have put the thinned version on first so it will penetrate the wood and cure a little faster... by the time you read this, you will probably have a good idea of how the product really performs... thx...
