Reason why I like grevious. In a way the force is some sort of strength/power. The Jedi and sith have more connection so in a sense more power. Grevious wants his own power and not some cosmic power. Reason why he kills Jedi or loves it.

The Force flows through each living creature in the Star Wars universe. However, only those with a high enough MIDICHLORIAN count (yes, really) are able to use the Force. And some use the Force in different ways, like the Nightsisters or those Jedi temple monk guards.

Jodie Houser needs to write more stories about Grievous in the future. She is one the few who really understand the character, way better than Filoni. I like Grievous as a coward and evil old school villain, but it looks like Filoni doesn't want him to be anything else, especially a tragic character. But tragedy is an important part of his story. Gilroy said that isn't the case; that he's just arrogant and merciless, but those aspects are just what Grievous uses to hide and deny the tragic side of his story

I really liked how unatural grievous movements were in this comic, he seems much more akin to scuttling around or twisting his legs to reach certain things. One of the main differences I’ve noticed between legends and canon grievous is how his arms are treated, where in legends he always keeps his four arms hidden until whipping them out as a trump card, but here he has them out almost constantly just makes him look slightly more monstrous. Second difference is his cape, what do you guys think dies grievous look cooler with a black cape or a white cape?

So wait, Grievous DOESNT have an actual face now? He’s literally just a brain, a pair of eyes, and some organs? From what we saw in RotS, and then in Lair of Grievous with his multiple faceplates, I always assumed that Grievous had replaced everything but his vital organs, and his head. (But then made modifications to his head like replacing his organic ears with Audio Receptors, or his organic throat with a mechanical one that attached to his organs) Idk something about that imagery is kids creepy in a way... but not out of the realm of believability.
@bouncin22075 жыл бұрын
No he has part of his face under the mask it's not just a brain. We can see that through his skin in battlefront 2.
@GreaterGrievobeast555 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure there isn’t a face there. I doubt he needs to eat or smell anymore so I don’t know why he would. It be far simpler to have removed it. I mean I’m fairy certain they didn’t keep his skull because that didn’t show up in the vision either so keeping the face that would never really be seen would be redundant.
@GreaterGrievobeast555 жыл бұрын
Caleb Bradshaw cross sections?
@GreaterGrievobeast555 жыл бұрын
Caleb Bradshaw interesting, hmmm you might have some points there they did seem to make a deal of cutting away from grievous head when his mask was being removed. Though yeah I heard there were a bunch of different versions of grievous in that book including a bug man, a moment with orb droids around her and a kid in a chair so who’s to say that just wasn’t another potential idea? I’m just thinking of why they would keep his face when the rest of his flesh and skeletal structure was removed. It just seems to make more sense to take the vital organs and shove em into the machine, I doubt grievous would even want to keep his face anyway considering how he looks at himself in this vision and how kaleesh constantly wear masks anyway

Actually I believe his Canon backstory would be identical to his Legends, Grievous would be a former bodyguard for San Hill, later would be gift with his own castle on the third moon of Vassek, after breaking his contract and learned about Kalee, just as he flew out unbeknownst to him was sabotaged and begin malfunctioning, plunging into the sea below and exploding an impact. Grievous awoken in a bacta tank on Geonosis by San Hill, being told to him that it was a Jedi who had planted a bomb on his ship, Hill offer him revenge against the Republic and the Jedi as well as famine relief for Kalee if he would submit to cybernetic changes to his body and lead the droid army of the Separatists once they declare war. Promise of relief for Kalee and his hatred for the Republic and the Jedi, Grievous accepts the offer. After installing an implant into his brain, Geonosian biotechs and the Separatists cybernetic experts rebuilt Grievous arms and legs with cybernetic replacement leaving his head and torso remain (fully flesh). During the training I can see Dooku teases Grievous about the taste of new strength, leaving him to think about his choices and during the Battle on Geonosis, after Grievous had slaughtered a number of Jedi leaving none of them alive, Grievous would then finally made his choices believing his cybernetic that the IBC gave him wasn't enough to satisfied him then would willingly submitting to improve his cybernetic body himself and goes into a deeper change. These are just my idea, if Canon play it right and choose the right writer, things would play out right for his character.

His original EU backstory is in my opinion better - more tragic, complex, interesting and compelling. Him replacing his biological body willingly only to 'gain power' is for me kinda flat and pathetic idea. I would, just maybe, change my mind if they will finally give him some deep reasons and backstory to want that 'power' and hate Jedi in New Canon. #Grievous
@Dass_Jennir4 жыл бұрын
TheGeneralGrievous19 apparently, his EU backstory has fortunately been recently re-canonized in the Rise of the Separatists sourcebook. His stubbornness to call his implants “improvements” can be interpreted as a way for him to deny his dependence on them after the accident, or maybe they actually grew on them like it did with the EU’s Grievous after he saw how effective they were in helping him accomplish his revenge. Or his brain was altered in the surgery to make him believe so. There are definitely a lot of pieces here and there for the right author to make one hell of an origin story through a game, book or movie.
@cwylfre3 жыл бұрын
Actually in Canon, the book *Alien Archive* mention: "An accident left Grievous almost fully cybernetic." and *Star Wars: A Galaxy at War* mention: "At some point in his life, Grievous became a cyborg following a gruesome shuttle crash that almost killed him." Plus blame Filoni for decanonized his backstory just because he doesn't see it being true to his story.
