It's possible that despite all the fear he'd bring, some, if not many, would see him as a war hero for the victories he'd won for the Republic, and the rogue/traitorous Jedi he took down. He also remained loyal to the Republic to the end and perhaps Palpatine could have used him as the reason for why the Jedi's plot to assassinate him failed. That would make him a very important symbol of justice and loyalty. Keeping all this in mind, I believe that along with the fact that Grievous would be extremely useful in hunting down surviving Jedi, it'd make more sense for Palpatine to keep the cyborg general after the war ended.
@erikthomsen47684 жыл бұрын
But if he joins the Empire we would have a whole second set of problems. Sure the glory seeking Generationals and the ruthlessly clever would appreciate his style of leadership. But there was also xenophobic officers. And many of the newer officers would have grown up with an alien-centric enemy narrative. Perhaps General Grievous could have survived through his reputation. Grand Admiral Thrawn and Grand Vizier Mas Amedda were also not humans. We know for fact that these two survived at the top of the Imperial food chain through a combination of skill within their respective field and favoritism with the Emperor. Since the creator(s?) of this KZbin channel usually never pushes any scenario beyond one era, we will probably never get a part two. Or three. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Generationals starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Speciesism starwars.fandom.com/wiki/General_Orders_(Galactic_Empire)

At first I thought this was a bit silly until I realized just how much grievous hated the othet sepratist leaders. I’d be curious to hear banter between grievous and kenobi without it leading to them fighting.

Grievous actually mentioned how the Clones were superior Warriors in every way and openly stated this to his higher ups. Also since he was a caleesh before I think this would end up very differently then just a merciless murder Maschine. He would definatly get back at those that send the Jedi to subdue his previous war efforts as a kaleesh General and would work superbly well with clone troopers. Especially in the early days of the clone wars when the Jedi sucked at their Role as Generals he would be a star like no other. Many anti Jedi Factions would rally behind his image and sidious would have had an even easier game condemning them. Order 66 would go as well as you mentioned I mean how do you stop Vader and Grievous? A mayor change would be that he or both would be send to Mustafa which would make for an amazing what if continuation. Anyways great sneak peak into this Szenario you should do a follow up

Here's my version, it goes the same except the Republic help the kaleesh instead of the huk, now they would request him to join the Republic military and he would agree, things go well but a few months in he is Nearly killed and was rebuilt into the grievous we know, he would blame the jedi as he was under a jedi's command and that gives him the hatred, refusing to work with a jedi he is giving his own legion and his story goes the same way as the video

Grevious would join the republic if Dookus agents didint mess with his head and learned who killed his men and cost him his body, I believe the Senate would use him as a “Executioner” agent to whip out fallen Jedi, troublesome bounty hunters and lead elite teams of clones into battle but would be hated and respected by clones and Jedi for his skills, but as you said he would still bear a grudge against the Jedi for his home worlds suffering , come order 66 I think it’s 50/50 on helping or killing Jedi , but take the killing route I think Sidious would keep him as a Enforcer like Vader only as a personal bounty hunter like gig, hunting who was deemed trouble like the rebels and Luke sky walker, forcing grievous to fight Vader on several occasions

Would he still gain training with Lightsabers? How would this affect Kalee and the Kaleesh who suffered during the Republic’s intervention of the Yam’rii/Huk - Kaleesh War. I think it would still be a fun “what-if” and still possible but a lot of changes would need to be made.

I find that in this theoretical scenario if Grievous were to serve the republic there's the possibility he may not need to undergo the transformation into the Jedi killing cyborg, even the name Grievous may just be an alias and that he may still use his given name Qymaen jai Sheelal. He will be more valued for his tactical geniuses than his combat prowess.

@@robertwadsworth3411 Granted what I think is only a possibility because if Grievous were to serve the grand scheme of Sidious as a general in the clone army, a lot of what we knew in the original story might have to change in order for there to be enough incentive for him to willing serve the republic in the war.

I think if grevious served the Republic he would be granted a high ranking position within the empire and would likley be used as a tool to alienate the jedi from the Republic military and could be used to drive the jedi into trusting palpatine who would openly object to and clash with grevious over his more zealous actions despite likely ordering them. This would possibly make order 66 more effective as the obvious enemy to the jedi would be grevious and not palpatine so his betreyal would be far more damaging. Also solidifying palpatine as emperor in the eyes of the galaxy when "grevious and the jedi attempted to use the war they started using Dooku to seize control of the galaxy".
@Wi-Fi-El4 жыл бұрын
I think a republic grievous would probably join the empire. Grievous is very loyal to sidious, and would support the transition to monarchy, so sidious wouldn't have much to gain from killing him, especially since he's a victorious ally in this timeline. Sidious would recognize his value, and he would probably be tasked with terrorizing rebels or training the inquisitors to fight
@DefinitelyNotEmma3 жыл бұрын
Alone the fact that he would be immensely valuable during order 66 would make Palpatine keep him in the GAR. Even in imperial time I think he would be around, with Sidious and Vader doing Sith business while grievous hunts down the last Jedi and Rebels
@mortyfray13375 жыл бұрын
It was actually pretty plausible. The Republic could've easily given aid and reparations to Kalee in exchange for Grievous' surrender and/or cooperation in the war, instead of just going after him against even the jedi way. The Republic lives and assets spared his wrath would've been worth the investment. A redemption arc of his character could've easily been done like this if they kept his canon legends.

Grievous’s one weakness was not being force sensitive. Which is why he had to use intimidation and fear before engaging so the Jedi(s) force abilities were hindered. If he was force sensitive he’d be quite possibly the most powerful Jedi or Sith depending what side he’s on.

I’d definitely agree with Grievous being a double edged sword. Considering the moral and ethical implications raised by the Republic during the Clone Wars, I would safely hazard a guess that he would be outright despised by a majority of the Republic civilian populace, most Senators that weren’t already in Sidious’s inner circle, and by the Jedi Council almost down to a man, but I could also see Grievous being elevated to a hero status due to the execution of Order 66 and highlighting both his victories as a military leader during the Clone Wars and his loyalty in executing members of the Jedi Order, carving a path open for the Galactic Empire. I would even hazard another guess and say he would take a position as one of the leaders of the Imperial Inquisitor’s, hunting down Jedi and training the next generation of Jedi killers, before potentially having him slain by Vader after deducing the Sith Apprentice’s identity and being silenced by Vader in order to avoid having that news become public knowledge.
