Yeah they were suppose to still be together but the writers was setting up Liason as a pairing so Sam was M.I.A to give them scenes together & have Jason look like a sick puppy everytime he was around Liz. Sam & Alan wasn't close but she should've been the one comforting Jason.

Well, Jason is part of the family. He has to be there for Alan, no matter what Jason's done to Alan. Wouldn't you have to go to a funeral of a family member whom you have disrespected before he or she gets buried?

depends on the the relationship sometimes its more respectful to just send a condolence card.....if you can't give ppl there flowers while there living....it just comes across as being fake to me at least.

Before Jason’s last brain surgery he asked to see his father. He told him that he had come to understand what it was like to be a father. He told Alan that no matter what happened, he knew Alan loved him and said he was his father. Alan smiled at him him and kissed him on the forehead. They had their moment and made peace. Jason had his regrets as did Alan , but Alan loved Jason and Jason loved him. Of course Jason belonged at his funeral. Few relationships are perfect. If we could only attend the service for those perfect relationships, most services would be poorly attended.

that was a decent moment but it was just that a moment this relationship wasn't even just flawed it was basically nonexistant after the accident....he treated Sonny and Carly as his family it is what it is.

Cam M After the accident, Jason was dealing with brain damage and memory loss. He did not remember loving Alan or being loved by him. And Alan did not make it easy for Jason. His expectations of Jason being his “perfect son” drove him away. It took years for the two of them to find a way to connect. It does not matter how long it took. They made their peace. They loved each other. Jason belonged at the funeral and Alan would have been glad he was there and would have been sad if he had not been there.

Why is Edward still alive and walking around in 2007 I remembered the first Edward Quartermaine played by the late great David Lewis, he died years ago and in my opinion he was and always will be Edward Quartermaine. David Lewis was old in the 80's, come on now Edward Quartermaine suppose to be 100 or probably 99 (at least) years old, this is insane.

I hear you. But many people had affection for John Ingle. Who was only 12 years younger than David Lewis. So it wasn't THAT crazy.
