General James Conway and T. Boone Pickens on Energy and National Security

Retired four-star General James Conway tells Boone that if we want to get rid of ISIS, we need to arm and train the Sunni Tribes and the Kurds, but the Iraqi government won’t let us. On energy, Conway says that the U.S. has become a puppet being manipulated by the Saudis. He believes that an energy plan is really a national security plan. My roadable seaplane would prevent soldiers from being blow up. Two full size airplanes replaces an Osprey. Loiter at $4/hr on NG (4gal/hr) at 100 mph, or fly up to 360 mph++ just like Osprey. Fraction of cost 100:1. My airplane IS what soldiers need. No hummers or non flying or non roadable vehicles allowed. All MUST fly and drive. Land anywhere. Land in water, snow, rough field at 30 mph or even VTOL with more engines added. No planted bombs on roads because you never travel the same path on ground or air. Can support troops from above at $4/hr fuel with gunship. Carry 10-15 soldiers, unload ground troops and have 3-4 soldiers in airplane running guns (like a c-130 does) in the air. No need for their oil.... Just get out. We have all the NG (according to PIckens) we need to run all our economy for 100's of years.

National security? Look no further. You need my engine system. 80-95% of the fuel GONE. Flex fuels including, NG, Diesel, gasoline, bio, Ethanol, and electricity. Yes, an engine that can run on a battery without electric motor via a thermal cycle and compete with electric motors in car system via advantages of weight and boundary layer active drag reduction. No OPEC needed. No need for imports. Can run ALL vehicles on NG if wanted. Oil for plastics, not fuels. Engine can combine solar, NG and/or Coal too with same base engine. Could make coal on demand frequency and voltage maintenance, not just base load power. Base load is low profit. Frequency and voltage makes more money. The reason oil is used is because of the volume of NG relative to range. My car could get 2000-4000 mile range on NG with 10 gallon e tank. 420 mpg city, 210 mpg highway, and does not need a lot of room. Can have same layout as electric car, with floor having tanks and ends with small motors just like a AWD Tesla. But a typical 25 mpg gasoline car does not work as NG vehicle due to low fuel economy and space for range. Same issues in space as Electric. 10 times range is possible with this system...hence NG becomes viable with this engine and is not without.
