Because replacement keys are extremely hard to find, I had to make a couple. An accidental under load impact broke the powdered metal looking parts. I grind a replacement set from 4140 (McMaster) and heated to About 2000 degrees. Grind the curve into the preheated shape so you get a proper spring force. Worked great.

Why not clean out all the old grease and replace it with new?

I put a milk crate under the thing to drop the trans, it has more play than a cinder block so it cant break the trans

Would be sick to put a go cart solid axle under the rear to run a chain drive/Duromax swap, hydraulic disc brake, that’d be a fast setup!!

Great video Neil!! I just sold a 100 year old lathe that I had no collets for so I could buy more equipment to start casting. I am still waiting for a tripod for my phone so I can start video-i ng...keep up the great work. I will be able to do these gears very soon. Then I will be able to mill them .

@@bobp6742 I am just getting everything together to start video-ing. I do not know what I am going to call it yet. I am starting off with a replica of a 1928 Morgan Aero GN special with an experimental airplane engine on the front with a cast aluminum adapter to an MGB transmission and then to an MGB rear with beautiful wire wheels. The next one is a scrap yard fond Yamaha three wheeler. I need help on the name of the channel...

@@bobp6742 Thank you my friend . I will try and get to all my friends channels and let people know when I am up and online. If you want you can check on 1928 Morgan GN special replica or waste oil casting foundry build, or the rescued from scrapyard Yamaha trimoto 200 1983. Thanks.

Bud I've just recently come across your channel. I've watched 2 so far and they've been about jump starters. Out of all the other videos you seem to know best. So I'm asking for your advice I'm not a man with lots of money and I don't know much about amps and watts and so on but I am in the market for a jump starter. I was going to get the gooloo GT 4000S but you made me change my mind because of saying its over kill. My second runner up was the jf.egwo 3000 and my 3rd pick was yesper yjs40. I'm just needing one for my six clylinder car and maybe help friends or just people in need. I just don't want to burn up mine or anyone else's starter. So could you please suggest one? I'm not a rich person so maybe below 150 or under. Thanks

If I was going to buy something to fit your needs this would be what I would buy. amzn.to/3K4VSeZ Along with the air pump it is easy to run emergency lights off the 12v 10amp out. A video topic I am still in the works on but should have out soon.

This rig is probably 90% spare parts. Pre plandemic the gas pedals sold for $35. The seat is same I use on builds about $25
