I love reverse swaying for bankroll. I did that once as Qing to Netherlands. Poor guys went bankrupt after 10 weeks and stayed bankrupt until they agreed to be my protectorate in other reverse sway

beyond the incorporating African states faster thing, there's another benefit to getting Afro-American as a primary which is that you now have all African and European pops accepted. As USA I usually go exclusion during reconstruction to get the new primary, then go back down to segregation for the extra authority, and use the authority on edicts/taxes until it's multiculti time. Even on segregation you can get mass migrations from both Africa and Europe which is super powerful when the Europeans colonize more and you're the only high SOL place in the world that accepts African pops

Forgive me if I've just missed it but I've never seen you bully Denmark. Their single province in West Indies is a great trade states target with GB and France, and you can often get it for free in a trade by sniping part of Togo since they always colonize it. Then later you can take Togo off them which gives you access to a protectorate and annex on Ashanti which a) lets you complete Togo's size 44 sulfur mine, and b) gets you Ghana to trade to Britain or Netherlands for something useful. And colonization access to Volta could be relevant to cut off France from Timbuktu and Niger sometimes. Oooor you can get west indies off britain or france and trade it to denmark for togo to save like 4 infamy. Better denmark gets the 20 oil that spawns there than france or britain. Lots of possibilities.

Yeah, it's loyalists from what I understand. Not sure the best strategy for getting all three cultures as primary, but my understanding is it's theoretically possible. Practically speaking, I don't think Dixie acceptance is worth it

How about moving the capital to Minnesota or Iowa later on in the game? New York starts with the largest amount of pops, and has a bonus for Electricity and Hardwood output, but wouldn't the +5% MAPI bonus be more beneficial? Minnesota has the same amount of Iron and Wood, but instead of Fish and Whales it has Sulphur, meaning it's already a great place for making all your Paper/Fertilizer/Explosives in a centralized location before you improve your MAPI. And while it starts with no pops, it has twice the Arable Land compared to NY, so with the +50% migration attraction bonus from Frontier Colonization, it has the potential to reach 1 mil before 1870s. Iowa has even more Arable Land, but has Coal in place of Iron. I think it might be a good move once you start to run out of place for more pops in NY.
