A behavior that should not be encouraged with your average family dog. These are working dogs and this aggressive play is part of their training. If my dog charged me like that, we would be having words. The scenario in this video is the exception and the teacher has excellent control over his dogs.

A lot of those dogs are born and trained in Belgium were they use Dutch words. Its the main language to train dogs. A Belgian chief constable of Ghent, Ernest Van Wesemael, is the spiritual father of the dog brigades. At the end of the 19th century, 170,000 people lived in Ghent and the police had 111 night shift guards. Because there was no money for more people, in 1898 the Commissioner obtained permission to purchase three dogs. Success was soon apparent, and by 1910 the Ghent police force had thirty dogs. The force became an example for police forces at home and abroad.

This was, surprisingly enough, incredibly effective for my cat. Shes been having difficulty with some commands at my new apartment and I thought she was just a bit stressed about the move so i did some desensitization exercises with her and after she was doing fine with more interaction based commands like 'paw', 'pearch' and 'take' but still struggling with things like sit, backup, stand and 'cross', all commands she excels at. Tried re teaching her like you said and it worked like a charm! Thank you!

And though sometimes it a bit more difficult then with a dog (it depends on the cat really) and you may not get the same results (many cat wont respond to commands under stress like dogs do) it is still very much possible and quite fun! Theres even competitions for this kind of thing, like the international cat agility tournaments. I recommend you look up "didga the cat" who has the world record for most tricks in 60 seconds.

People think because they are "active" that getting an active dog is a good idea... not always... an active dog requires a patient, consistent, focused owner with follow through.... a lot of "active" people are busy people, thinking your dog will just automatically tag along in your activities. Without first committing 100% to establishing relationship and structure through training... the dog will hold interest in its own activities, not yours. And without incorporating commands into everyday life (like this video is getting at) training will be viewed as a game or a trick, with a beginning and ending.... and not a way of life for the dog. Most people are unwilling or unable to sacrifice time and energy away from their usual "active lifestyle" to put into the dog and end up with problems.

@@jerrodbates8480 I support 100% what you said! I have a Mix breed dog with Malinois, Saloos Wolfdog, Altdeutscher Hütehund and Husky as his Grandparents. He is a very tall, fluffy, athletic, patient, quiet dog, guarding our house and us. He loves to be with me all the time, but can wait at home calmly now. On our sportive walks, he´s trying to hunt, following trails etc. while obeying my commands. I definitely need to focus on him all the time when we are not at home. A walk in any city is almost a pain since he is very nervous and unfocused, having a hard time obeying. He behaves almost like a kid with strong ADHD in towns. I did not do enough training in towns with him, since that is not a place where I like to be any longer than necessary. He likes children very much, but guards every adult stranger in our home closely. We wouldn´t let any friend play with him unattended or wildly as we know his malinois heritage. He needs a lot of attention and time, definitely not an easy dog. It is very rewarding to have him, since he gives so much love back. In the evenings he likes to lay on the sofa with me and the family for a while watching animals on TV, getting belly rubs or chewing on wood sticks. After that he wants to keep guard on the terrace like in the afternoons. No matter what´s the temperature. He is alternating these "duties" unless he thinks, its about time for us to go to bed. Then he´s sitting right in front of the TV or poking me with his nose. He almost never crawls in his cave under the stairs unless I go to bed. I couldn´t think of a better buddy, but I would not recommend this breed mix unless someone wants a challenging task.

So, I started teaching it to him like he was learning it for the first time everywhere and he's doing great now. Not as well trained as this guy's dogs, but good as a home dog. Too bad some idiot let their dog attack him and now he's reactive to other dogs, but I am working on it. We can greet dogs and pass them without barking, but it is clear he's nervous. I taught my canine all Vietnamese commands and every once in a while, an agent or officers would try to show how cool they thought they were by trying to give him commands in German. Bad idea! He would go into “attack” stance and use his best “Racing”growl!! Word travels fast, don’t give my canine any commands and he’s very friendly and pleasure to work with. ❤

No, I put him down four years ago but I go visit him about every 3-4 months to talk to him, “Cut grass”, offer a Buddhist Prayer and burn incense sticks on his grave. I miss him everyday. More recently, I told him that I rescued two kittens. I nursed and bottle feed both with KMR Kitten Replacement Formula and just got both of them fixed and micro-chipped. They stick to me like glue and follow me around the house.

This man is probably my favorite dog trainer currently. This is truly how you manifest yourself with your dog pure love and absolute respect for the animal. The respect this man has for his dogs, more respectful than most people have for their own families these days I think we should all take a little lesson from him not just about dog training but about life in general. I've started to recently train my shepherd and French as well I think it's a wonderful idea it's a beautiful language and surprisingly they pick up on it very easily. I really really like his idea behind that as it's so common to use German or English to train or Dutch. Please never stop making brothers video it helps the rest of us out with our own crazy German shepherds and malinois! Your videos have trained my whole aspect of training thank you brother for your inspiration your advice and you're constant advocation for positive training. Another solid video brother! Happy Thanksgiving stay safe out there God bless you and the dogs!!

I would love seeing you do this with my Shiba Inu. If I have treats he literally sits before I have the chance of saying anything like “yeah, yeah, you’re going to tell me to sit, I’ve done it, happy? can we skip to the treats part?” And if I don’t have treats he looks at me to evaluate the situation and if there’s any reason to move and decides not to bother. I literally don’t know how to train him, much less in any way resembling this. Most of the time he doesn’t even come when I call him. He knows what it means, he just doesn’t care.

One thing that helped me, is I made my dogs work for their food. So they had to sit, stay, lie down, leave it, that type of stuff before they had their meals.

Try teaching him new tricks then, so he still has to stop and focus and listen to you! You are doing a new activity, so he can't jump ahead of you and just 'skip to the treat part! Just a thoughton a place to start! Good luck!'

Thank you for educating me again that well ❤ I knew that environmental changes usually bring changes in performance (for dogs as well as humans, I guess) and I trained this with my dog, but I didn’t put myself - like you said e.g. behind a fence to teach him or - in a maybe uncomfortable position for myself and trained that, that’s a great info to me and my next bestest dog, thank you ❤
