A little info. The Mill Pond Diner sits next to what was the oldest nail factory in the country. The factory was the Tremont Nail Factory. I think it operated for 157 years at the original location. Now I think the company exists in Mansfield Ma. Still producing cut nails. Anyone can search the web for the history which is fascinating.

I really admire people who have mastered the art and science of maneuvering a large articulated transport vehicle, and doing it with good humor. I take note of how well you shift that transmission. No grinding, no missed shifts. Smooth as butter. That takes long practice. That cabover Peterbilt is a handsome rig. I hope you can keep it going for a long time. Old school operator, old school truck.

Steve, I don't know how you do it. Cranking out these videos every couple of days must be maddening. I know I couldn't do it. With all you have to do just driving, it's amazing that you can find the time to set up the cameras, do all the editing, get your freight delivered safely and on time, and get these vids out. My hat's off to you. That said, love the content and am always looking forward to you releasing new ones. I was raised in Passaic and as another ex-NJ citizen, all I can say is "Keep on truckin'"! Yet another great video, Steve! If you haven't been, to The Mammie, for a tour, I highly recommend it! This was a arranged stop for my Dad's ships reunion. He was a Tin Can Sailor. The Joseph. P Kennedy DD850, is moored thier with BB59 Massachusetts. The Kennedy is the Sister ship to my Dad's ship, DD840 USS GLENNON. They have diesel sub and a few PT boats also. Interesting fact. Most, if not all PT boats, were powered by three V12 Allison Aircraft Engines and they were supercharged! The exhaust would exit under water, for more quiet operations, until full throttle. Then there was no hiding the boats. A flap, would open letting all exhaust exit above water

Two weeks ago I was on Massachusetts sister ship USS Alabama. What's cool about the Alabama compared to the Iowa class battleships like the New Jersey is that it still has most of it 40mm bofers and 20mm oerlikons and it's float plane catapult. Iowa class ships where modernized during the 80's and that stuff was removed to make way for tomahawk cruise missiles and the phalanx close-in weapons system.

Definitely not Iowa class. The big Mammie is a North Carolina class ship. The Iowa class are BB61 IOWA, BB62 NEW JERSEY, BB63 MISSOURI, BB64 WISCONSIN & BB65 KENTUCKY. The Kentucky wasn't completed, the war was over before completion. It was scrapped. The bow was used to repair the Wisconsin, after the ship collided with a destroyer. This is how the Wisconsin got it's nickname Wiskey. They did use two of the Kentucky's, engines in refueling ships. There was a sixth Iowa class, BB 66 ILLINOIS, that was in the planning stages and never started. They had plans for a Montana class battleship too. Information had them to be bigger than the Iowa class, which are huge!

I been to places like that where it's never easy to back in to the loading dock. And that is the way i always go the back roads where u avoid weigh stations and pay booths. Plus u can always find places that has a good mom and pop restaurant and also a good place to do laundry at. Plus a good bar to go have fun and have a few beers and shoot pool. Worse place i have to back in is way worse where u was at. When i back in the Staff has to move all of there vehicles and van's to another location. And they have to stop traffic each side so i can back in. And they have to monitor the clients to make sure they don't get in traffic and be in the way. It's a workshop for disabled people. I go there about every 2 week's. And when i arrive and blare the horns. The staff knows it's time to stop and go out and block traffic so he can back in. They just purchased a bigger building and will have more room for the clients . And also bigger and better loading area. I seen it and the clients was like now u don't have to stop traffic and driver's get mad and u throw objects at them. One guy tried to run a client over that can't hardly see .. He had a huge rock in his lap when i tossed it in his front window. The guy can no longer drive anymore. Cause of the charges he had against him and the guy had DWI charges on his driving record.
