Hi Gavin. (Teacher). GenMax $1699. GXS7100iRD AiPower Costco$1299 and when on sale $999. AiPower THD Less than 3. Cleaner Sine wave (power). Protect your router/laptop/phone/ computer, it’s 2 THD less than GenMax’s is 5THD. AiPower has a Drain tube on bottom of Carburetor, easy to keep fuel fresh. The oil drain has a tube to drain oil easily with less mess. The fill funnel they give you is a great design also. AiPower when it runs on Propane and it runs out, it AUTOMATICALLY switches over to gas giving more run time. Put another full LPG tank on it and it switches over to propane immediately. (Propane is their priority fuel) GenMax LPG 6500/5500 AiPower LPG 6400/5100 GenMax 7250 Gas 7250/6000 AiPower 7100 Gas 7100/5700 Parallel ready. 50amp and 30amp plug. GenMax only 50amp plug. 322cc engine vs GenMax 312cc. LED Display is beautiful and has a led light on panel to see in the dark. When you tested it you said it was very quiet, it is 100% I agree Gavin. You didn’t even overload it in your great video. Would love to see them compete against each other. AiPower GXS7100iRD The price of $400 to $700 LESS oh my goodness. Check Compare to each other before you buy. $400-$700 difference in price. I had to go with the AiPower 7100. Well made, heavy duty Machine. Gavin please please do a side by side comparison. You are the Generator Man #1. Continue to help us make a wise decision and save us money at the same time. All the best health to you, fans and Family. A very Grateful follower. Mike ienuso

Can you put your camera on your Sine Wave while turning on your A/C and let us know the Amps. it took while firing up. They say that when it switches from propane to Gasoline it stays at around 3THD’s. Even when it runs out of fuel it stays clean. I appreciate all you do. I just ordered the Genmax 7500 dual fuel electric start from Sam’s for $900 regular price. Looks like it’s the same running watts and has an additional 120V 30A plug. I’ll be using this as home back up for 1 fridge, 1 full size freezer, 75gal fish tank pump and light, tv, internet, fan, couple led lights and window unit 8-12k btu. Figuring out what A/C size I should get now. I can split my down stairs into 2 areas (living and kitchen or master)

Hey Gavin, watching your content, I finally had an interlock installed at my panel with a 50 amp inlet last fall. Anyhow, I haven't gotten a generator yet, and I know you have a soft start on your 5 ton a/c unit. I'm getting a lot of differing info on soft starts. Here's my question, I have a carrier 2.5 ton a/c unit. With the right size invertor generator, do I even need a soft start ? Thx as always

Gavin that’s a great reply. So much easier on the Generator. Won’t have to work as hard. I would like to see it done using the AiPower GXS7100iRD so we can compare them. Especially that the AiPower is $400-$700 cheaper in price.

Your the best. Gavin Being that most of us don’t have a Sine Wave Monitor. Can you have that hooked up with your CAMERA “ON “THE MONITOR while you turn on your AC so we can see how the sine wave stays clean or varies. With GenMax less than 5 And AiPower less than 3. They are both very low yes. But you know what I mean, I’m sure you would prefer 3 over 5. Even when it switches over from Propane to Gasoline they say it still stays clean, even when it runs out of fuel. I’m not going to hold you to anything, but I would love to see these things done at your leisure Sir. All the best, Mike ienuso AiPower owner.

A soft start will absolutely reduce the stress on your generator every time it cycles. It will give you more wattage for other loads since the ac unit won't draw so much.

Is this a bonded neutral generator, did you unbond it to work with your inlet set up
@BMWguy2062 ай бұрын
Yes, the 7250iEDC is a bonded neutral generator. It can be turned into a floating neutral by disconnecting a white neutral bond wire that is underneath the GFCI outlet behind the panel.

Thank you for sharing this test. Just got my Genmax 7250 today, thanks for your reviews and insights! Like this test, I’ll be using the 7250 to run a 3.5 ton a/c during an outage, and you just proved it can be done, even with a 5 ton a/c (with soft start). Gavin, did you have to convert the 7250 from bonded neutral to floating, since you have an interlock kit installed? If so, how did you do it? Do you have videos on the topic? Thanks again.

@@GeneratorReviewsHi Gavin, I started my Genmax for the first time last week and so far so good. Let it run for 45 minutes with minimal load, hair dryer and a small soldering iron. Today, I started it again and was successful. Let it run for 30 minutes then turned it off. When I tried to restart it again, it only cranked for a sec. So I took a voltage reading from the battery and only got 8.5v. Why was that? I got it restarted using the pull cord, but that was also a struggle. At least 6-10 pulls before it started. And then I heard rattling noise that sounded like it was coming from the pull cord winder. I removed the battery and charged it with my kayak battery charger for 30 minutes with 13.5v afterwards. Reinstalled the battery and started the generator successfully. Why wasn’t the generator charging the battery? Please advise. Thanks Gavin.

Gavin, I need a 240v generator in this range. The inverter has very mixed, mostly poor reviews in the last 5 months in 2023. What are your thoughts on reliability of the GM7250IEDC?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
Most of the comments are from brand new owners of generators. The first time they run into an issue all bets are off. I think this is a great 240v Generator especially for its price and size with a 50 amp plug. If you decide to run off, Gas, just make sure to drain the carburetor before storing it.

@felaxchow207 Жыл бұрын
@@JaromMcallister for my little bit of anecdotal evidence, I would treat it the same like a modern fuel injection vehicle. Store it with fresh fuel with your favorite fuel stabilizer of choice and exercise it for 15 to 20 minutes at least once a month. During tropical cyclone season in my neck of the woods, I do that at least twice a month and practice a full load power transfer drill while I’m doing the exercise test.
