Yeah, those mustangs and V8 are hard to beat without turbo. Too bad Travis is charging over $8,000 for built engines at MT Motorsport. I would like to do Remnant Performance turbo kit someday, but it is too risky without work done on the engine, from what I have gathered. I will wait and see how long it takes for Cjay's red Genesis Coupe to blow up. This will determine with turbo is worth it on the 3.8.

I feel you on that.. I’ve beat my fair share of v8’s but they’re mostly stock or just exhaust or something.. That Mustang was definitely more than that🥵

I’m sure the auto transmission would beat you even if you were match on HP and weight etc. I love my manual but I have to admit that I can’t beat shifting an automatic. All these new dual clutch transmission are state of the art. Literally built for racing.

do you redline your car a lot? im stock but im able to redline it but not sure if it does a lot of harm to it without being tuned. i shift my car around 7200 rpm when im racing

I don’t.. And from my understanding, the Genesis redlines around 6700 or so. I had to get tuned to rev to 7200, but I’d stay away from the limiter as much as possible. Without a build head, I’d say that it could cause problems after a while of it. But I’m no engine builder, just a guy that wants my Genesis to last long😅

It’s full bolt on, 93 octane, custom tune by Alphaspeed.. No boost, no nitrous
